My hunch is that more brands will start leaning into mascots as we move deeper into an AI-first world.
As it gets easier to build and ship products, differentiation shifts to how human and personal the brand feels.
Mascots do that well. They give a face, a voice, something people can connect with.
And at a time when trinkets and collectibles are becoming more common, these mascots can extend beyond screens into tangible objects people actually own.
The next era of brands won’t just live on billboards or social feeds.
They might live on your desk, your shelf, or hanging off your bag.
