@MxFlippy616 The problem with Lizard and Ock is that he met AU versions of both of those characters. If he met a 'Doctor Connors" who was working on an arm regrowth serum involving lizard DNA he'd just nip that in the bud.

While I do think you could replace Hulk with the Lizard and not change much, thematically at least, I’m glad they ended up going with Bruce in the end. We got to see Savage Hulk back in action and it set Bruce up for an interesting arc when (and if) we see him again.

One of the things 343 did that turned out to be a massive mistake was taking all the marketing hype about John-117 and making it canon to the setting by making him a celebrity in-universe. They drank their own koolaid and it's been stifling the character for 15 years.

Hulk snapping out of it is contrived because they're not really friends, NWH was meant to give us at least ONE movie without Ned and MJ, at least to pursue other supporting cast or love interests.

It's not a golden movie but nobody can say its less than a 5/10.

@mukualt The apartment gets explained- it wasn't supposed to be an apartment, and it's not cleared for living due to asbestos. Peter doesn't have an ID or any papers, so that kind of place is the only place he can rent. The size is nice, but the asbestos tanks the price.

@captaincupkick I thought that it was implied that Jean was using telekinesis to amp them up? It's why that one Hand guy was able to keep fighting despite stabbing himself through the gut- because Jean was puppeteering him through the air like an action figure, not just controlling his mind.

@TripleAAAkers7 It is objectively a better movie than anything in the home trilogy but at the same time at no point was I going "this is cinema". In contrast, I remember Vulture deducing Peter's identity as the light turns green like it was yesterday. The highs are not as high.

i’m sorry because this is gonna sound incredibly pretentious and i do like the Home trilogy, but this is like an actually Real Movie. it’s still an MCU film but it feels like DDC was set out to make actual art and explore the character of Peter Parker first and foremost

I seriously can’t believe I lived to see her get adapted. There’s definitely aspects of her that are a departure from 616 but her i inclusion feels like a sign that more great comic characters/stories are on the way.
