@DevGuy_ 2/2 you don’t need to give your biometrics for your current application that is considered exempt. If you don’t meet the criteria, you still need to give your biometrics but not until the collection site closest to you starts offering collection services again.
Due to #COVID19 service disruptions at Service Canada, VACs and ASCs, biometrics collection deadlines have been automatically extended from 30 days to 90 days from the date on your letter. Once locations re-open, you will need to book a new appointment: bit.ly/2Uuky7c
@CitImmCanada@CitImmCanada Just saw that there is a Biometric collection exemption for students who already applied for an extension like me. Does it mean that my VISA will be processed shortly or do I need to request the exemption? I applied on March and I still don’t have any response yet
@DevGuy_ 2/2 Keep visiting our website for latest information as many VACs and US ASCs are starting to reopen so you can book your biometrics appointment as soon as possible.
@CitImmCanada Sure I want to stay longer. The issue here is I already have submitted an student application and is frozen because of COVID and biometrics. What should I do? Apply for a visitor VISA, wait for bimetrics to open or use the implied status option?
@CitImmCanada Thanks for your clarifications. So my last doubt would be: when should we stop waiting for our current VISA application resolution and start applying for those extensions?
@CitImmCanada Good to know that. But what happens with my wife’s accompanying spouse work permit. Can she keep working after the VISA expiration because of the implied status as well?
@DevGuy_ If you apply to extend your stay in Canada before the date you’re supposed to leave, you can legally remain in Canada until a decision is made on your temporary residence application. In this situation, you have implied status.
@CitImmCanada Thanks for your answer. What happens if my VISA expires before biometric centres are opened? Is that a possibility or at some point are you going to move forward without them?
@DevGuy_ 2/2 Once the VAC site re-opens, you should book an appointment as soon as you can to provide your biometrics. Bring your original BIL to your new appointment to show proof of payment. Please check canada.ca/biometrics website regularly for updates.
@seensedotcom@BEstelrichS Same thing happens to me. Look at this screen recoding, fails 2 of 4 times. Besides when works it delays more than any other app
@ADICAE Despues de enviar el burofax para la cancelación de mi cuenta bancaria la cuenta sigue abierta y ha pasado una semana. Cual es el tiempo maximo que la ley establece despues de la notificación oficial?
@SparkMailApp Since years when I try to refresh Pinned mails the view keep charging and never ends, the rest of the folders works flawlessly. Am I doing something wrong or it’s a bug? Thanks
@Dayoneapp Hi there, I’m currently planning to subscribe to DayOne but there still one thing holding me back, code highlighting. Are you planning to add this feature soon or at any point in the future? Thanks
@SwiftKey Please remove the limitation of SwiftKey for iOS of 2 languages at a time. Not sure why are you doing that, just give us the same functionality you have on Android
