Mobland Season 2 was majority filmed by me. Strand-on-the Green, Chiswick House, Chiswick Police Station. Tom Hardy was on set early doors (ask the Mums who were doing school drop-off 🤣) and often late into the evening. I spoke to SCORES of crew, some main actors and a handful of extras (some of whom I'm still in contact with) There was NEVER even a hint of this being an unhappy set. This seems VERY odd.
DiscussingFilm@DiscussingFilm

Tom Hardy has been fired from ‘MOBLAND’ and won't return for Season 3. He allegedly clashed with producers after being consistently late to set and attempting to give notes & change dialogue on the series. (Source: puck.news/newsletter_con…)

This is what happens when countries treat talent development as a national infrastructure project. Four key pillars define Senegal's blueprint: Academy-Professional pipeline. Direct transfers and partnerships between the local and European clubs. Think Sadio Manr, Ismaila Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr, and so on. Private academies and agent network play large roles. FIFA talent development scheme selection. One of only five countries picked globally to pilot a special project focused on creating a world class academy system. FIFA provides structure, funding and expert eyes to optimize youth training, not just stadiums, but methodology, coach education, competition architecture. Methodological consistency. A nationally agreed technical vision and curriculum, implemented across regions to reduce dependence on individual coaches Government-level sports policy. National school sports programmes, professionalisation of amateur football, centralised talent ID through the state apparatus. Football is a national strategy. Ivory Coast, meanwhile, saw the pipeline dry. The famed ASEC Mimosas academy that produced the Toure brothers, Kalou, Drogba, its production line decline. Until the country recently launched a systematic rebuild: National detection network. 792 detection points, 48 centres, 12,000 young players scouted in one cycle. Not random tryouts, a structured, regionally administered sweep for kids from age 12 upwards. Professionalised training centres. New accreditation systems, mandatory regional leagues for academies, classification of elite centres, link between amateur and professional structures. Academy partnerships with global brands. AC Milan Academy Pro launched in Dimbokro, AC Milan's official methodology transplanted to Ivorian soil. Creates clearer pathways and higher visibility for players. Coach education infrastructure. Decentralised licenses, specialised courses for physical trainers and goalkeeper coaches, CAF A diploma for elite instructors. Their national directorate is building a generation of educators, not just picking national team coaches. Both nations understand the same truth: raw talent is a raw material. Without refining systems, it stays raw.
Sir J (J9)@SirJarus

Ivory Coast and Senegal keep producing talents.

No Maguire, no Hall, no Trent & no Wharton is where I'm lost for answers, they just seem such obvious picks for depth & different dynamics. Hall - different ball at feet LB to NOR, technical first / over-lapper to work with Gordon/Rashford Trent - game breaking FB + just better alternative to any other RB bar James Maguire - fit, good, great season, monster in both boxes, leadership, played in a final, 'character' & still GOOD Wharton - completely different to mainoo / rice, splits lines, can accelerate everything through the thirds & will be even better pushed up as a 8 vs low blocks when we struggle to break them through outside

Unfortunately reality. Why I don’t understand the concept of having a ‘dream company’ to work at. One, you can never really know what a company is like till you’re inside it. Two, a company should be vehicle for achieving your dream (or at least for learning or earning), not the dream itself.

As an ex-Meta employee, I genuinely don't understand why people get butthurt about the constant layoffs. That's the game you signed up for. A deal with the devil. You get paid top of market, and in return every couple of months you have to do Hunger Games. It's not a secret.
