5% is a HUGE gap given its Bengal with such skewed demographics and potential MUSLIM veto vote. BJP had 40% voteshare in the last three elections and TMC’s voteshare was inflated by 4-5% through fake (chappa) voting which got deleted through the first round of SIR. So 8 out of 10 Hindus you would have spoken to in Bengal were expressing COMPLETE DISGUST with TMC. Yes, people are hesitant to speak but only with those who don’t know the art of speaking are completely denied. I get it that surveyors were not able to get proper data as there is suppression via administration but there’s no reason experienced journalists didn’t get the direction correct. It was clear.

If BJP goes fully North coded into Bengal, it will alienate everyone who voted for a change. Bengal does not vote out in one term. You don't have to over optimize for the next election today. You have at least 2 terms to bring in visible change.
Central leadership must focus on border security, and a possible package to tide over the current financial situation in Bengal. Let the local leadership handle the rest. Don't try to do social engineering.

You talk to anyone influential enough inside the BJP leadership and the RSS Ecosystem and they would talk about Bengal like a son who is being denied his mother's love by a demoness who has taken her captive.
There's no hatred or animosity against the mother, just the agony of a son who desperately wants to free his mother from the clutches of a demoness.
It's only on social media that you see edgelords shitting on Bengal. The RSS and the BJP have always had a profound love for Bengal. Regardless of any state they might be from.
You recognise it immediately in the tone of their voice.

All this while BJP had fought the Elections in Bengal against TMC's lawlessness in the State. The anger is justified but the moment if BJP is to go after TMC on vendetta, the historical cycle of violence will only get renewed & there would be no difference b/w TMC & BJP in future respect. Chandranath's loss is very much personal for all, BJP leadership is all waiting for the Oath taking. Rest they have promised to follow up with the Police rigourously to get the accused arrested.
