It's fine and good to go to any movie on your own. Watching House of 1000 Corpses alone on a Tuesday morning between classes my senior year of college, with only two other people in the theater, remains one of my favorite moviegoing experiences 20-some-odd years later.

@Wizzzurd @GanzAnders5 @afrocosmist This is pretty much my feeling. Preacher is Ennis' magnum opus and I love it, but he got too high on his own supply after he killed God. The Boys had legitimately interesting things to say, but it gets lost in the "oooh, look how edgy" of it all.

@GanzAnders5 @afrocosmist It sounds crazy but I actually think the comic is worse than the show cuz some of the edgy silliness gets over saturated. Admittedly I still have to watch season 4 though to proper compare.
Preacher comic rules however.

i think its great that The Boys finale was a letdown for folks. i personally fell off a while ago w the puerile edginess. which is why Watchmen remains undefeated in the deconstruction of the superhero genre & basically unadaptable for anyone who isn't perpetually 19 years old

Every hero in Watchmen is a vigilante. It's basically satirizing Batman. The horror is in breaking down the psychology of people who would becomes masked vigilantes Only one of them has powers and said powers basically made them detached from human desire
