Show me the best tornado photo you have!
This is one of my favorite tornado photos I've ever taken, I love the blue skies and green grass contrasting the dark storm base. The tornado lasted about 10 minutes and danced harmlessly out in open fields. It's also one of my first solo tornadoes after getting my license in late 2014.

Oh, boy. Where to start. Let me tell you about my education on this subject. I don't usually do this, but I am going to very obnoxiously flex, because you asked for it. Ready? Ok. U.S. foreign policy was what I studied in college-- at Harvard. And, in fact, what I *specifically* studied was strategies for containing American adversaries and advancing American interests. That means I had to do a lot of reading ABOUT THIS SUBJECT, write a lot of analytical papers ABOUT THIS SUBJECT, and pass exams ABOUT THIS SUBJECT. And, in fact, my professors were all total hawks when it came to protecting American interests-- disciples of what's called "realpolitik." (Look that up.) That means they viewed the world as a chessboard and taught me to view it that way. Oh, and after all that schooling, I spent many years in Europe living there and gaining an understanding of our role and alliances in these places. No one who understands U.S. national security thinks coercively seizing Greenland-- and all the consequences that would bring with regard to our alliances, hard and soft power, and strategic global stance-- is a good idea. Yes, we need strategic and military access there-- which we already have-- as much as we want. Feel free to share your education and credentials on this subject, if you wish.

Ever since I picked up bird photograpy, winter has become something I look forward to even while living in South Dakota, because it's peak season for photographing these guys. #owls
