Yesterday @MountAllison university made a leading step towards making campus more #bird friendly by treating Barclays entrance with @FeatherFriendly stickers! Many thanks to everyone who helped me achieve this. Here’s to treating more windows on campus soon! 🐦

This is probably the first ever #migration of a #swift Apus apus that is possible to follow on live view! Deployed by our team in NItaly some weeks ago. Thanks to @animaltracking for having the opportunity of realizing this pilot with 5 #Icarus 1.3g tags.

Interesting new paper showing that birds in the Andes are disappearing from lower elevations, with prevalence 23–40% lower after 2005 than before, as expected from climate change projections conbio.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

Why anyone would prefer eponyms over those connected with a bird's appearance, habitat or behaviour is beyond me. A negative impact on the birding community is a strawman fallacy and epitomizes gatekeeping. The defense of eponyms is becoming increasingly desperate.

I just registered for the @AmOrnith 🎉 meeting! I will be talking about Pepe 🐥 in the #MotusWTS and about hummingbirds and pesticides. anyone else here going? I suck at running these days but the 5k run is so much fun 🤩 Can’t wait!
Ana Gonzalez@AnaCardellina

Meet Pepe! 🌎 This is his story: Pepe hatched in Canada in summer 2018. Pepe is a male Canada Warbler, weighs 10 g, and is almost 3 years old. When Pepe was less than 6 months old, he travelled 7000 km from the boreal forest in 🇨🇦 to 🇨🇴 (Colombia) in fall 2018. 👇🏼
