She was able to curate better matches because those who weren't a match self-selected out. This is exactly what we see on StartPlaying, too. The most successful DMs make their ideology, vibes, and play style clear, and that attracts the audience they'll succeed with.

She was a vegan and animal rights activist. She literally wore her ideology on her sleeve. After doing this, her matches improved! People who didn’t match her ideological values self opted out. It was clear what she valued, and those who disagreed, often just swiped away.

There are a ton of professional dungeon masters on StartPlaying. Which means I get to see what makes the top ones so successful. If I had to boil their success down to one thing, it'd be ideology. The best DMs make it incredibly clear what they value and how they play.

And turns out, others wanted it, too! While it only gets a modest 700-100 listens a week, it's the right 500-700 people. Over the first few months, I learned a number of other founders and industry folk loved it. They reached out to me thanking me for something that was digestible. It's also a ton of fun.
