My thoughts, for what they’re worth Ant. Your support base as it stands may not be big enough to get you the job. You will improve your chances by casting your net wider, and that requires a change of, and I suggest a softening of your language. Your statement is an improvement on the (no doubt) heartfelt, but blunt and rough, military-toned language of some of your older posts, in which you alluded to crack-downs, going after people, and major upheaval to get things back on track, amongst other things. That made quite a few people nervous. A more nuanced, diplomatic language will be needed if you’re going to get the votes from your average Joe to become mayor. You DO need influential and powerful backers in your corner, and to keep them on-side during what will undoubtedly be quite a rough and dirty campaign by your opponents. It will require you to be more cautious and reflective in what you say, and how you say it, because your words can blow back on them and their reputations. In supporting you, they are seen to be supporting your message. You don’t have to sell out your principles to get the backing of arseholes, or attack those who have a large support base and are allied to your position like Farage and Reform have done to Tommy and Rupert Lowe but a softer tone will (I think) improve your lot. I want you to win; London needs you to win, but it won’t happen with talk of getting boots on the streets of London to sort it out. All the best.

***Mayor of London press release*** I would firstly like to clear up a few rumours so you the British public are clear on my thoughts and my intentions moving forwards. You certainly deserve it. I can confirm that I haven’t been dropped nor have I fallen out with @reformparty_uk and that I’ve been a big supporter of @Nigel_Farage and that hasn’t changed. I can confirm that I will be running for Mayor of London and that I will be doing it independently (as it stands). My reasoning behind this is purely personal and on this very occasion I have decided to go with my gut feeling/instinct. A feeling/instinct that kept me alive during my Military career and has served me extremely well outside off it and up to now. I’m a man of the people who was and is still willing to sacrifice all to serve and protect, it’s simply in my blood. If I know the people well enough and my gut continues to serve me well then it very much tells me that the current political landscape is too unclear, corrupt and fragmented at the moment and that you the people are sick to death of it as it does not whatsoever serve in the best interests of our great native people, British citizens nor our beloved country. I want to directly represent the people of our capital city and nation by demonstrating that I won’t be politically suede or influenced and that my priorities and loyalties lie with you the people. Drastic change is needed and our people need to be heard and prioritised. I want to serve and represent you with my British values, patriotism, my experience, expertise and knowledge in safety and security and in reestablishing British culture and or very own identity, BRITISH IDENTITY! When it comes to leadership, work ethic, business acumen, teamwork, unity, trust, change, safety and security, British pride, values and principles then you need look no further!
