@cxslufc @cfc_ar1905 True but I think this is worse than usual. Like genuinely at one point Chelsea were singing 'your support is fucking shit' and I thought, 'that's an odd thing to sing when we've not heard you once before now.' Clearly they thought the same in reverse.

The events from a community angle, they never really made much/any more to begin with. There was no major appetite to watch the games by people at home in any significant volume. LAN is still a thing though. There was a COD major in Birmingham recently, and the crowd and fans are more enthusiastic than ever.

@HitmarkerPhil @DexertoChris Absolutely! Can't say I've kept up with it for the last 8 or so years but seemed like it moved largely online which is sad. Hope you're doing well, Phil.

Showing my age here, I was at all the early ECLs and they very much formed my passion for esports. Albeit very different to what it was born out of, it's a sad to see it close. I met a lot of people back at those events, who I'm still good friends with to this day and likely will be for life. Having watched a few of the old LAN montages from the 2010-2012 events, it's a massive shame we've lost this type of event in the UK. Curious if anyone knows why they stopped putting on the large community events of old? Did it just become financially impossible or interest died out? Find the latter hard to believe, given some of the numbers they were getting back in the day with EGL5 having well over 100 teams.

He’s been doing it for YEARS. He’s a Leeds fan but both times we won promotion he didn’t make a single post about it. Not one positive thing. I can’t understand why anyone would spend so much time on something that so clearly brings them so little joy. Callum Fowler says more positive things about Leeds each week when he covers us than you will find on all this dude’s posts combined. He’s a world class calibre hater of the team he supposedly supports. It’s weirdly fascinating. The cliffs here are that Leeds have considerable financial clout (unfair almost), have massively reduced net debt (vital), and likely saw inflated costs due to promotion. From a Leeds POV, this is really positive. Anything else doesn’t matter massively. If I supported a club with less financial means, I probably would find this a bit of a bummer, but that’s football. There’ll always a bigger club than yours and there’ll always be smaller clubs than yours.

@qprAL27 So why would Dowman get a look in by that logic? He's played 5 senior games and how many minutes?

@DexertoChris If saka gets injured, even if bowen is in the squad, I think palmer, foden, rashford and then probably even rogers and Gordon would be more likely to come in and replace him. And then also madueke who’s probably ahead of him in the pecking order.

@qprAL27 Dowman has made 5 senior appearances and scored a breakaway goal the other day in the dying moments. You’d rather he’s back up for Saka than established Premier League player Jarrod Bowen, who’s the best player for a whole Premier League club?

@qprAL27 Why? When you freshen legs, why would you go for an inexperienced kid, vs say Bowen who’s been carrying West Ham for several years?

@MattOfTheSouth @Wakefield90 You did enough early on. That win against Brighton was huge. Before that game I thought it would be Palace. Next season seems riskier for Palace I think. Without some good signings you’ll be in a lot of trouble. Feels like Palace spent a lot of money not really improving the team

@23liamlufc @FPL_Marcelo That was our worst result of the year without question. Sunderland were nowhere near full strength there.

@23liamlufc @LewisKeeen @Marco_SUFC Whatever we do, we’ve had 70%+ possession and the game has felt even, so got to do something. If we just sit on this we’re inviting problems.

@DexertoChris @LewisKeeen @Marco_SUFC 343 has proven to work in home games, we've done it multiple times, farke said himself not long ago that we played 343 more than 352.

@23liamlufc @LewisKeeen @Marco_SUFC Not sure I agree with Tanaka to start, or 3-4-3 as ultimately not been playing that, however, this ain’t it either. The longer this goes on, the more they could just snatch a goal.

@LewisKeeen @DexertoChris @Marco_SUFC This, against man city, he's right, he isn't going to play, but today at home to Sunderland? Tanaka absolutely can and should play ahead of gruev, or we play gnonto in a 343

@Marco_SUFC @23liamlufc He’s not as good as Stach or Aaronson, simply put. People seem to think he’s in competition with Gruev, a holding midfielder who’s regularly dropping into our back line, for some reason. Since changing our tactics, Tanaka just doesn’t have a role/there are people ahead of him.

@littleroundman @Souster98_YT Raph had a serious shout for Ballon d’Or and is Barca captain. I’m not 100% sure about that, as good as Kewell was. + did he possess such a dangerous long throw?

@DexertoChris @Souster98_YT True. But i would say that everything Raph could do Kewell could do too, but everything Kewell could do Raph couldn't. Kewell's all round game was stronger than Raphs. He was really good in the air, a great header of the ball & he could tackle too. Started as a left back as a jnr

@Souster98_YT This generation goes on about Raphina but Kewell was just as good if not better in his pomp. There was a point where he was considered one of the top 3 young players in the world along with Ronaldinho before his injury. People forget that.

@VDOOZER @JABryden The first 2 episodes are so much better than I expected. Only thing I didn’t really understand was JD trying to figure out his teaching style, when he’s had multiple batches of interns in the past.

@JABryden Thanks for watching, regardless. This was a long discussion. We looked at the whole show... this is a reality for people 20 yrs later, and they were never a healthy, functional couple for more than 3 weeks. And all dreams can't come true... But who knows, we could be wrong.

Scrubs is one of my all-time favourite shows. Always has been, always will be. I watched the first episode of the new show, and while it captures the heart and nostalgia pretty darn well (I mean, it's Bill Lawrence, come on, he rarely misses), one plot decision ruined the masterpiece that was the season 8 finale. I haven't been this disappointed in a show since season 6 of Supernatural. I'm not sure if I'll watch anymore now. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think the Cooper slander is justified. We went down largely because we had no midfield. Throughout that Premier tenure, we struggled when Kalvin or Adams were out. Admittedly we were already struggling before Adams got injured but once he was fully out, that almost condemned us. McKennie subsequently looked terrible (fitness can’t have helped), Roca struggled and wasn’t a holding midfielder. Our defense had no screening. It’s true our two absolute standout players left. In their places came Rutter who really struggled to settle. Aaronson who was incredibly lightweight. Sinisterra who struggled for fitness. Adams who picked up a long term injury. Recruitment wasn’t strong but I agree, I don’t think we were well resourced at all. Aaronson, Rutter, Sinisterra were combined £82m and none of them had a real impact in that first season. If I’m not mistaken, Bamford struggled with injury also. A total mess.

@JimmC_91 @DexertoChris @Waccoe1919 @jessemarsch Resources? We sold our 2 key assets and still had to play Liam Cooper, it's a wonder we didn't finish bottom. The only positive from it all was Radz and Orta finally doing one.

Let's be realistic here. Bielsa was an impossible act to follow, but the worst manager of Leeds? The Leeds United? He's not even in the top 5 worst managers of the recent era, or close to. He averaged over 1 point per game in the Premier League with an increasingly injured squad. In the run up to his appointment, we were hardly performing well. We were smoked by injuries and sadly, there were a growing number of Leeds fans who wanted Bielsa out. They got what they wanted. I was neither a fan of the tactics, nor the recruitment, but these claims are re-writing history. In the end, Jesse had to go, and I wouldn't call his tenure a huge success, but 'one of if not THE worst of all time?' Have you forgotten the Cellino era? Also, let's drop the yank stuff. One of our stand out/most important players this season is an American.

@Waccoe1919 @jessemarsch I think I can happily say one of if not THE worst Leeds manager of all time. Certainly the biggest downgrade in the history of all football going from the great Marcelo Bielsa to this yank moron

He was maybe our best player against Derby. I don’t think he has a place in our current tactics, if we’re sticking with them, which I think we will. Leeds fans are too emotionally attached to some players, which then leads to fury when they don’t reciprocate. People won’t let it go about Largie even though we won promotion and have Prem survival in our own hands. It’s madness that he’s even a thought when Solomon scored the goal that won us the title. This squad can clearly be improved, a large part of our success has come down to playing this 3-5-2 system, so if players aren’t right for that, they’re surely not right for us?

think any Leeds fan with a brain knows we have players who need to be sold in summer and we need to replace them with a lot more quality, that’s how we will progress as a club and keep improving, tanaka gnonto piroe byram Bornouw will all be gone in summer and it needs to happen
