🚨 Bruno Fernandes on Harry Kane: “If he had stayed at Tottenham another one or two seasons, he’d have been the best goalscorer ever in the Premier League. So, would he have been a legend or not? He would” “He decided to go to Bayern and the decision is good because he knows he has a big chance of winning trophies. And now we’re talking about Harry Kane that is scoring the same amount of goals he was scoring at Tottenham, but he might win a Ballon d’Or now because he’s going to win trophies…”, told @TimesSport.

Morocco vs. CAF 👇 1. Failure by CAF to apply its own regulations CAF failed to apply its own regulations. Both the match commissioner and the referee clearly stated in their reports that the Senegal team left the pitch. In this specific case, Articles 82 and 84 of the Disciplinary Code provide for strict and automatic sanctions. These articles were simply not applied. This constitutes a serious breach of the principle of equality before the rules. ⸻ 2. Blatant disproportionality of sanctions The sanctions imposed are totally disproportionate and incomprehensible. Saibari received a three-match suspension for moving a towel. Samuel Eto’o was suspended for four matches for losing his temper in the stands. Yet a coach who sabotaged a continental final in front of the entire world by deliberately leaving the pitch receives only a five-match suspension. This reflects a completely incoherent hierarchy of offences, contrary to all sporting and disciplinary logic.

@osasuo @CAF_Online We need to respect the CAF president and how much he has elevated African football to what it is, you are talking about past leaders who barely grew the game in Africa and it's global brand and we're very corrupt, this person got CAF from losses and is now making profits.

It is clear that @CAF_Online President Patrice Motsepe is very irked with my criticism that CAF is being ‘colonised’ by FIFA and European interests. Motsepe told me, in Rabat, that I am talking ‘nonsense’… “We don’t take decisions in Africa for Europe. We take decisions in Africa for Africa,” he says to me in Rabat on Saturday. When Motsepe says I am wrong, and I ask him how I have been wrong, he tells me to “Keep quiet”… Twice. Is that an answer? Or that’s not wanting to answer my questions, by trying to bully me into silence? Hayatou couldn’t stop me, Ahmad couldn’t and not even a billionaire President of CAF can do that. I will ask the questions that need to be asked, about the state of African football. The good thing? He is acutely aware of what I say…

@ColinUdoh @QualityQuadry I am very very familiar with Nigerian football. I've been reading from you, and other seasoned sport writers since early 2000s, and I've never come across his name.

You are hearing the name for the first time in your life because you are not a core "football person." Sunday Oyarekhua has earned his status with his exploits as a striker for Nigeria. It's not about documentation, it's majorly on you for not digging deep and get familiar with our retired Footballers.

This was the first time in my life I’ve heard about Sunday Oyarekhua.. such profile should be a house hold name.. is it me or are we terrible at documentation and story telling about our legends??

None of the problems that Nigeria had in 1983 has been solved in 2025. None. Not one. Not electricity. Not education. Not healthcare. Not housing. Nothing. Just idiots passing power to each other.

I haven't spoken on the Nigeria World Cup qualifying debacle since. That's partly because I wanted to take some time to process it and not just look at the usual surface level issues. I know a lot of you were looking forward to that conversation and I apologize. But this hurt me a lot, more than Odiye's own goal, more than the Angola goal in Kano and certainly more than that Abuja fiasco. So if any one is interested, we can have a conversation on Monday across multiple platforms: Twitter Spaces, YouTube (via Streamyard) and IG. If you would like to join and weigh in, DM me or just indicate in the replies

It's poverty! No well to do human will park his fine ride, nice perfume, good cloth and enter this place to watch football. You only watch it there bcs you're struggling with life & no option. The smell, body odour, mouth of our, the heat, the noise & the rubbish commentary many of them will be spewing in your ears, as a sensible human that place should never be the place you go to watch football. But yeah, we have all watched football there during our struggling times. But with small money, we rather watch in a bar with beer & assorted or in a clubhouse with your rich friends.

Why do men like watching football in such places??
