@CW1313CW Feel that. I haven’t seen how Nike has changed anything that would make it hard for the consumer that wants to consume Nike products to do so tho. It’s probably the easiest time to buy Nike shoes. (Ignoring personal financial situations)

Why are so many consumers focused on how to fix Nike’s “problems” 🤔

@simple_looks Got it. Making people feel connected to the brand is probably the most impressive thing Nike has done as a brand.

@DezWeNeedMoore Like lots of people, I feel a connection to the brand. I have fond memories of wearing Nike growing up, my favorite athletes wearing Nike, wearing Nike to this day… if I’m going to wear the swoosh on my feet and body, I want it to signal something good.

@eljay25thleo Are we talking stocks or products? I’m confused on why buying shoes/apparel you want to wear would be considered “dumping money”

@eljay25thleo Why wouldn’t you spend your money on something that’s continuously tanking if you like the products enough to want the company to succeed?

@artnkicks So safe to say the nostalgia is what drives your attachment to the brand and subsequently is the reason you want to see it succeed?

@DezWeNeedMoore Just what I enjoy. I love all sneakers but Jordan's really just a nostalgia thing for me. I couldn't afford them as a kid. Now I can lol

@DezWeNeedMoore It's a brand people enjoy. I have about 30 pairs of kicks. All of them except 1 is Nike or Jordan. Whereas a brand like new balance, I have 0 attachment too so what they do means nothing to me

@DezWeNeedMoore Also all companies have peaks and valleys it’s just there time to me.I don’t think people understand the amount of revenue involved lol or what it would take for Nike to completely fold.

@DezWeNeedMoore Speaking for myself, I want Nike to do well. I’m not “focused” on fixing them, but I have my opinions on their releases and things I see them doing generally speaking.

@artnkicks I think the first part is the answer to my original question. People want Nike to succeed. I think I’m trying to figure out the why. What is it about the brand that makes people want them to do well?

@DezWeNeedMoore That's 2 different conversations. We want to see a company that we enjoy, do well. Product availability, that's something else. When it comes to to sneakers we know how the game go. Just gotta accept it at this point.

@eljay25thleo I understand wanting the company to do well for the sake of your investment. The latter part I’m a little confused. Are you saying if the company is doing well you’ll spend more with them vs when it’s not?

@DezWeNeedMoore well for one...I own stock in Nike and not just a couple of shares...and also as a consumer their decisions impact how I choose to spend my disposable income whether its their products or another company
