@MattGates_XPE It’s all opinion but wrestling is up there as well. 17 year old high schoolers beating grown world champions. The training progression for high schoolers since Covid had exploded, getting coached in the private sector by the best in the world.

✅ Do this acceleration progression with us! 1. Sled positional overcoming isometric 2x5 seconds each side 2. Split stance medicine ball step throughs x3 each side 3. Sled push sprints x4 total Goal is to take primed positions & push into our 10 yard sprint work to follow

2 high school kids who received correct instructions on how this should go. The reality is that MORE girls' teams should run 45 or faster, and more boys teams should be running under 40.5. Make the stick move, NOT stop! Marks are 25-30 😳 11.4-->11.7 Only 2 reps at FULL speed!

@Results_Period I believe it is what is hot at the moment. Some of the most polarizing sport coaches and S&C coaches have got really good at dying on a hill they have created. Even if they have the pick of the litter on athletes.

@Dhoward7387 Great! It does. I'm trying to get a better understanding of why the polarization of conditioning is so prevalent within certain S&C populations. Since 99.9% of the athletes we work with will not play at the next level, isn't it up to us to educate the why and how for LT health?

@Results_Period The S&C world was probably the wrong phrase. I think we get caught in these trends that aren’t realistic to what we have in front of us. We can’t just do sprint only when most of our kids aren’t high level athletes. Not sure if that answers your question.
