@ma1ybe I think the hard part here is that different kinds of violence affect people differently. Women tend to worry more about sexual or partner violence, while men are statistically more likely to experience street violence. Both things exist at the same time.

She lies about where she lives. Never posts her location in real time. Delivery drivers don’t get her real name. A light stays on when she gets home late. By her door sits a pair of men’s sneakers that don’t belong to anyone. This is the WORLD we are living in where a woman have to go above and beyond to just SURVIVE! Don't try to tell me men have it easier than women.

"Fairness" as a concept in PVE games is a Fools errand to pursue because it's always inevitably going to lead down a stupid path like chipping away at RNG

@LocalBtnMasher The difference is: Fairness allows emergent consequences from consistent rules. Unfairness means those consequences are based on broken/hidden rules. A good design forces you to react or anticipate some RNG, not just be a victim of it.

@LocalBtnMasher You're confusing Fairness with Variance/RNG removal. Fairness in game dev is about Legibility and Consistent Rules. If the player knows the rules and potential outcomes, it's fair. Unfairness is when the game breaks its own rules or hides key info.
