@clashreport Strange how they landed C130s 200 miles away in Isfahan, home to 9 tons of enriched uranium.

Under cover of darkness, around 100 U.S. special operations personnel infiltrated deep into Iran and moved through rugged, mountainous terrain south of Tehran.
They climbed a 7,000-foot ridge to reach the stranded airman and successfully made contact.
The officer had reportedly sprained his ankle and was hiding in a crevice on a hilltop, using survival and evasion techniques after ejecting.
Before rescue forces moved in, he had to authenticate his identity to ensure U.S. troops were not being lured into an Iranian trap.

Details about the rescue op for the U.S. Weapon Systems Officer, via a U.S. military official:
"The mountain top area on the left is where the WSO was hiding (he ejected 5ish miles northwest of there). The right area is the makeshift landing strip where they landed 2 C-130s and had 4 MH-6 Little Birds.
"One Little Bird flew to that mountain top area and rescued the WSO and brought him back to the landing strip. And of course the two C-130s' nose gears got stuck in the dirt. So after a few hours they had to bring in three AFSOC Dash-8s to fly out the rescued WSO and the 100 or so personnel involved in the op." 1/2

The rescue of the second pilot gets so much more interesting when you realize he walked 110 miles in a single day to get to his location from crash sight and other pilot.

With the Airfield Geolocated by @andynovy , we can now have significant confidence that the area of rescue was in the Kolah Ghazi National Park, South-East of Isfahan, Population 2.2m

@Diablohole @michaeldweiss Compare the equipment loss to what Biden left behind in Afghanistan. This loss was well worth the result unlike the Afghanistan withdrawal

@Diablohole @michaeldweiss Sounds odd to you because that’s equivalent to 50% of the Mexican Air Force.
