@Dialsquare10 Tbf a few years ago it got really bad with ST holders only turning up to certain games. Used to have blocks of 3 or 4 seats empty across the ground Sounds more like a simple fuck up than anything. I much prefer a system that gets bums on seats

Got a lovely threatening email from The Arsenal. If I don’t attend the next two games, I won’t get a ST next season. They’re saying I’ve missed two. I haven’t. How can a formerly classy club become so rotten and petty? They think we don’t know why they’re doing this.

@Dialsquare10 You saw what happened with me a couple of years ago G. They sorted it in the end, but left a nasty taste. The guy who I dealt with was an absolute weapon too. Called him a spurs fan, not sure that helped.

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

@TfL I use a bus every day. Aren’t I great. I’m not sure if it’s the buses or the drivers, but the amount of people I see falling over on them is more regular than not. Usually kids and the elderly, but not exclusively It used to be a relatively smooth experience but no more.

I was on a 6-hour flight, window seat, headphones in, fully committed to minding my business. A guy slides into the aisle seat next to me, looks at me, then immediately says, “Hey, do you mind switching? My girlfriend is a few rows back.” I glance back. His girlfriend is sitting in a middle seat. Of course she is. I say, “Is it a window seat?” He goes, “No, but it’s just for a few hours.” Sir. Everything on a plane is “just for a few hours.” That’s literally the problem. I tell him no, politely. He sighs like I just denied him water in the desert. For the next hour, he keeps turning back to talk to her, leaning over me like I’m part of the aisle now. Finally I go, “You know… you could switch with the person next to her.” He pauses. Looks back. Realizes. Turns out that guy also didn’t want the middle seat. Shocking.
