Thanks to @MLBNetwork @RipkenBaseball for adding the breakdown of @rhyshoskins to the extended version of the MLB coaches #SpringTraining visits special. Its an honor to be a part of this @Phillies squad and work with this special group of hitters everyday #ShoulderToShoulder

The anti rollover swing. Mookie’s left elbow stays up well after impact, holding off the rotation of the forearms. This keeps the bat head on its ascending arc longer. When the lead elbow folds down before contact, the hitter will tend to cut the ball. Great drill feel.

I try to watch the entire AB as much as possible to see how a hitter got to his HR. This Goldschmidt AB is pretty awesome. This HR is way more impressive after watching the 4 he fouled off and the adjustment he made. 10 pitch AB. HR (1) 93.1 mph in.

Here’s some of my favorite drills to utilize with my athletes to improve rotational power! - I added some general programming guidelines for each drill shown above to give you guys a better idea of how to use each drill in your training

Taking our coaches into the inner details of swing metrics is @T_Garrison11 from @Blast_Bsbl Detailing out what ‘on-plane’ truly means at the plate & how we understand it! #ABCAclinics

Pop flies are caused by glancing blows, stop saying it’s the “launch angle swing.” Attack angle does not equal attack angle. The path of your swing should be within a few degrees of the path of the pitch. If you swung up at 35 degrees you wouldn’t hit anything.
