En effet, un refus de contrôle est sanctionné COMME UN CONTRÔLE POSITIF. ⛔️ ➡️ Vondrousova avait pourtant présenté devant le tribunal des expertises médicales attestant d'une réaction aiguë au stress et d'un trouble anxieux généralisé, expliquant que son état psychologique l'avait empêchée de réagir de manière rationnelle. Le tribunal a toutefois estimé que ces éléments ne constituaient « aucune justification convaincante » pour refuser le contrôle. ➡️ L'ITIA a également précisé que le seuil pour justifier un refus est extrêmement élevé. Sa directrice antidopage, Nicole Sapstead, a expliqué que seules des circonstances exceptionnelles, comme les FUNÉRAILLES D'UN PROCHE ou UN ACCOUCHEMENT IMMINENT, sont susceptibles d'être considérées comme une « justification convaincante ». ➡️ L'ITIA rappelle également un point : les joueurs peuvent être contrôlés à N'IMPORTE QUEL MOMENT DE LA JOURNÉE, et pas uniquement pendant leur créneau quotidien de localisation. Le Code mondial antidopage autorise également des contrôles inopinés en dehors de cette plage afin de préserver l'effet de surprise. Vondrousova 🇨🇿 rappelle n'avoir jamais été contrôlée positive et souligne qu'un contrôle réalisé trois jours après l'incident s'est révélé négatif. Son avocat attend désormais les motivations écrites du tribunal avant de décider d'un éventuel appel devant le Tribunal arbitral du sport (TAS). ✍️

seems to me she was actually just pissed off it happened at that time it did and was throwing a hissy fit about it and thought she could weasel her way out of it and make excuses 🤦. it's hard to defend this in any capacity if she literally signed a waiver that warned her.

the more i look into the vondrousova case the more damning it looks unfortunately, i have no idea why the players are all up in arms about this, when the events are clear.

No way this survives the (inevitable) appeal….there had to be *some* penalty here. But when actual positive tests get a fraction of the penalty of a test refusal, justice has foot-faulted …
