@peterdaou No, left and right have very specific meanings. Just because people (intentionally) use them wrong doesn't mean they don't have meaning. The left starts at anti-capitalism. If you're not that, you're center at best.

@CosmicCowboy Yes, you make a good point about those who were drafted. But once the draft ended (and for those who voluntarily joined up before that), I have little if any sympathy. I get the "poverty draft", but I can't accept joining a killing organization to get yourself out of poverty.

@Dienne_7 Don't forget the many young men of my generation who were drafted and died in Vietnam. They didn't ask for what they got they were forced. Memorial Day isn't Veterans day.

My kid finally got a job working at the zoo. She starts at 10:30. By 10:15 the lot where she's supposed to park (which is also a customer lot) was full. Her boss told her she should have been there by 9:30. Okay, you paying for that extra hour?
