@Dig_Balls @LukeCB14 I just used those hyperbolic examples as anecdotal evidence to support that even at its most broken, people had fun, and when they didn’t, they stopped using it. I’m not advocating buffing everything to that level, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it either 😈

@MacticsG1 I’ll never support calling for and actually implementing nerfs. Buff other stuff. I feel Bungie has conditioned many players to accept nerfs as balancing but that ideological framework needs to be “sunset” if not “vaulted” altogether. Surely Bungie fans understand that!

@Dig_Balls @LukeCB14 “Balancing” means players literally just stay the same. One could argue that’s drastic in and of itself too.
Clearly from the Scatter Shot Arms Week Bow mod exploit, the Sword chunk exploit before that, the “John Chunk” Warlock, etc. these are not unpopular power fantasies.

But I'm damn sure not going to ignore the fact that when Bungie left “John Chunk” Warlock in for so long, many of the players advocating for nerfs in the name of “balance” exploited that… that’d be some Bird Box

@Dig_Balls I think it was an attempt to bring back that original D1 going to the Tower fantasy(?), so I get the *idea* I think. But it just doesn't work when we have a hard engram cap of 10 while the D2 Tower takes 5 years to load into.
