@yonkojohn Unless there’s an election in the next year, while the polls are favourable, I’d say he’s one and done. The complexity of domestic issues is clearly difficult for him ( his inexperience living here shows).Plus, the prospect of running and not winning would be devastating for him

Mark Carney is a my way type not used to media criticism and not particularly fond of any criticism from anyone. Being Prime Minister is difficult for Carney. Will he complete his term or just not run again?

"Being part of Canada bring many economic advantages... but it's more than economic benefits, it's social, it's what we are as Canadians, Canadians take of each other." PM Mark Carney lays out what he sees as the benefits for Alberta remaining in Canada.

Hey @AnitaAnandMP Will you be posting a readout of your chat with @gidonsaar ? How bout a tweet? Or will you bury it on the feed of the corporate account?
Gideon Sa'ar | גדעון סער@gidonsaar

Spoke with Canadian FM @AnitaAnandMP. I described the sole aim of the extremist, anti-Israel flotilla activists: provocation at the service of Hamas. Just look at the what they did afterwards in Spain, Greece and Austria. Israel will continue to act in full accordance with international law and will not permit any breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza. I also highlighted the horrific antisemitic wave in Canada - an average of 19 incidents a day. The Canadian government must take steps against antisemitic incitement and attacks.

@nspector4 Great read. Carney’s speech in NY this week could further reinforce this thesis. Thx for sharing

Iran is run by one of the most evil regimes in the world, but I have some sympathy for them trying to negotiate with "now you see it, now you don't" Donald Trump, who is all over the map...as they keep saying: "How do we know you won't rip up any agreement we sign?"

@djbip1986 @LNG_Guy @paulvieira The scene of the Carney’s doing their elbows up dance on election night says all you need to know about how mature our PM is, and how much he pretends to to dislike the US. Our media was more than happy to facilitate this charade

@LNG_Guy @paulvieira No one here is whining. Sorry. It’s the other way around. We react, yes, but we don’t whine. The US administration is led by infantile men. We’ve not been perfect, but we’ve responded like adults.

@nspector4 Perhaps the PM realizes that the grass isn’t as green on the other side as he led us to believe. The media will say that the pivot back shows his pragmatism.

One of the most important findings in our latest federal poll: The Liberals now lead among voters most concerned about the cost of living. That issue powered Conservative momentum for years. Today, Canadians increasingly blame Trump and global instability — not the federal government — for economic pressures. Full analysis: abacusdata.ca/canadian-polit…

In the early 1900s, an Indian anti-British movement had been using North America as a staging ground to plot a violent anti-Empire revolution. The Komagata Maru was bringing more adherents to Vancouver. Turning it away was a matter of national security. It was NOT a tragedy.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

The Komagata Maru tragedy is one of the darkest chapters in our history — a moment where Canada failed to uphold our values, with horrific consequences. Today, we honour the memory of all the passengers, their descendants, and their communities who suffered: pm.gc.ca/en/news/statem…
