Fortnite’s #1 issue stems from how overpowered building is as a basic mechanic. Let me explain. 🧵 Turbo building is the best expression of Fortnite for sure. But by having builds be an instantaneous expression of protection causes problems. The obvious problem is no mater how much you outplay someone when builds are a part of the equation ping becomes the judge, jury, and prosecutor. This unfortunate reality causes epic to have to create creative weapons and items to balance this reality. These items are classically “OP” because the thing it is balancing against (builds), is also in reality OP itself. Most of the arguing of items stem from this problem alone. Building is over powered. That is why we see new creative expressions of items, weapons, and vehicles that are also OP. Here is a list of things Epic has introduced over Fortnite’s timeline that are creatively trying to balance the scales against builds: - SMG spam (gets hits off of turbo building) - Heavy Shotgun (one shots builds) - Boombox (destroys builds over time) - Tracking (abilities to see players through builds) - Shockwave Abilities (Destroys Builds for mobility) - Junk Rift (breaks all the builds from top down) - Plasma Cannon (destroys builds in slomo in a line) - Shadow abilities (phase through builds) - Storm Flip (causes players to leave their builds) - Porta-whatever’s (replace builds) - Rocket Ram (rams through builds) - DBZ/powers/Anime Collabs (just build, lol, yeah right) - Rail Gun (lands a shot through builds) - Stink Stuff (causing them players to leave builds) - Explosives (do damage inside of builds) - Fire (causes players to leave from wood builds) - Nitro (causes players to slam through builds) - Nitro Fists (dissolves builds) - Vehicles this season (no builds needed) - Mechs (lol) There are dozens more examples. Every season these attempts helps players with worse ping but get complained about by those who have good ping. Inevitably this causes epic to “fix” and nerf the items but not the real problem. The building. It really makes sense why Zero Builds was so popular… it just took out this OP mechanic as a whole. Very interesting to think about. With this mindset just look at each and every season and make your own opinions. I am curious if they played with the types of materials more (wood, brick, metal) we could see a more creative expression which would cause less “OP” items and weapons. Like if wood didn’t instant protect from bullets or something like that. Not sure… what do you think?

.@TeamYouTube 16 days ago my video was taken down due to a false copyright claim by somebody named "Homocheats". Since then, I have submitted multiple appeals, all of which have been denied, even though there is nothing that would allow for my video to be copyright striked. Once I tweeted about this, multiple creators reached out to me saying they have also received false copyright strikes from Homocheats and while some people had their videos reinstated, most did not. Yesterday, I saw this Tweet where Homocheats falsely striked a @/SinceyCheats then messaged him saying if he was sent $2,000, he would revoke the claim. Homocheats is basically blackmailing creators for money. After he Tweeted about the situation, all of his videos were reinstated as all of the copyright claims were found to be false. Another creator (@/DavidDMA434503) messaged me this morning talking about a similar situation with Homocheats. He had 6 videos falsely claimed and all of his appeals have been denied. This also isn't a recent occurrence. Somebody else sent me this Reddit post from 3 months ago where they talk about Homocheats falsely claiming their Valorant stream on YouTube. This person is clearly abusing the YouTube Copyright system in an attempt to make money. If you review my video that was taken down (video ID: EsxmN1KS2N8) you will see there is no copyright infringement and the segment that is claimed is all gameplay and other clips recorded, edited, and voiced over by ME. I have a lot more evidence so if anybody from YouTube could send me a DM, I'd appreciate it. TLDR; my video with 340k views in a week got false copyright claimed by a guy who does it to tons of people and tries blackmailing them for money and my appeals keep getting denied so I wrote a novel on Twitter because I want the money I worked for👍
