The Babylon Genesis app is generating native liquidity and showing strong onchain use. @Lombard_Finance: Fast traction for a new BTCfi primitive with TVL around the $1.5B mark. $LBTC is among the largest BTC liquid staking tokens widely adopted across DeFi. @Stacks: Stacks is the leading smart-contract layer for Bitcoin, boasting $135M in DeFi TVL and steady activity. The safest bet for a Bitcoin L2. @citrea_xyz: It's the first ZK rollup for Bitcoin with zkEVM compatibility, a major innovation for BTCfi adoption with validity proofs and BTC settlement. @SolvProtocol: Solv has real & sticky liquidity, its combined TVL sits near $1.9B, with a massive share of BTC-denominated assets flowing via SolvBTC. ⸻ ➣ Crab 🦀 @build_on_bob: BOB's ecosystem TVL is $190M. Active DEX volume is decent but not exceptional. The EVM-compatible, Bitcoin-connected design is strong and just needs some killer apps to advance. @MezoNetwork: Mezo shows $80M TVL, and their BTC stablecoin has big potential. While adoption grows, it’s still finding its product-market fit against Bull projects. @spark: A high Bitcoin-native payments L2 using a statechain-style shared-signing protocol. New project with high potential, but the market is already diluted, so its PMF is under a question mark. @botanix: Their Spiderchain is a big potential BTC-secured EVM-equivalent L2, shows $80–90M bridged and $12M TVL in live stBTC. The tech is strong, but it needs more apps and volume to grow beyond Crab. ⸻ ➣ Bear 🐻 @gardenfi: Their volume is mostly fake; it's now averaging $10k per day while processing $20m in May 2025. @MerlinLayer2: Most of its growth has been campaign-driven and concentrated in a few protocols (e.g., SolvBTC). Its TVL has been in a downtrend since May 2024. @ordinalswallet: Its usage is almost entirely tied to Bitcoin NFTs (Ordinals/Runes), not real DeFi primitives. I'm bearish on Bitcoin NFTs, do the math. @AILayerXYZ: Despite its fancy name, it's a dead chain with no real activity and apps to show for.
