LATEST: @Ripple's share buyback program values the firm at $50 billion. The blockchain firm has begun a $750 million share buyback that would value the company at about $50 billion, Bloomberg reported.

@JohnEDeaton1 All credit to you as well, Mr. Deaton. Once again, thank you for guiding us throughout this whole mess without a care to receive money in exchange. You are the shield of the investor.

REGARDING LINQTO: Judge Perez just issued his ruling. THE BANKRUPTCY SETTLEMENT PLAN HAS BEEN CONFIRMED & APPROVED. In his ruling, Judge Perez cited a very handsome attorney when he said: “As Mr. Deaton likes to say: ‘Customers won Constructive Trust without litigating it.’” Judge Perez also stated that the Liquidating Trust (LT) & Closed End Fund (CEF) is the result giving customers the closest possible option providing them “the benefit of their bargain.” The Judge also stated that there were serious allegations of fraud at Linqto and that based on the evidence presented, the bankruptcy filing was done in good faith. He overruled any objection to approving the plan. He stated that there were no conflicts of interests that impeded the plan and that the fact that the New Management at @linqtoinc is NOT involved in managing either the LT or CEF and made a claim themselves against the estate, proves no conflict impeded or improperly influenced the plan. Being in bankruptcy sucked and it’s extremely unfortunate. But let me repeat what I’ve said before. There was more than $1 Billion dollars of value on the platform. Bankruptcy was filed July 2025. To get this case resolved in 7 months with customers estimated to receive 95% of what they’re entitled to - is the best bankruptcy result involving a fraud case in modern bankruptcy history. Lawyers at Brown Rudnick, including Ken Aulet, Robert Stark, @stephendpalley and others, deserve most of the credit for putting customers first - above their own financial interests. They are outstanding lawyers who helped restore my own faith in my profession. Sam Schwartz and Jeff Stein who represented the debtor also deserve credit for putting customers first. To all the innocent Linqto customers - congratulations on getting the best possible outcome in a shitty situation. I’m glad this is over. Back to campaigning. 😂

@crypto_bitlord7 When XRP was $0.006, a price of $0.25 felt about as ridiculous as $100 does today. We had a $0.25 party and joked about how impossible $1 seemed.

It’s insane to hear this crackpot dev was dumping $XRP on us at $0.10c when we believed it would go to $100 Now he’s saying it’s unlikely it will go to $50- $100 What the fuck are we still holding for!? -These guys don’t even believe it anymore. Let’s be honest, Its failed
David 'JoelKatz' Schwartz@JoelKatz

@Eko18228519 @wowAwesomeness @panosmek I don't fell comfortable saying something like that. While I don't think it's likely, I didn't think it was likely that XRP would ever hit $0.25. I started selling XRP at $0.10 because it seemed insane. I remember when bitcoin hitting $100 seemed like an impossible dream.

But I will say this: If many rational people believed that there was a 10% chance that XRP hit $100 within a few years, they definitely wouldn't sell very much today at much less than $10. Those with that belief would quickly buy up most of the XRP, because they'd value it more highly than those without that belief, and soon the supply of XRP well below $10 would dry up. That the current trading price is well below $10 shows that there aren't very many people who really think it has a 10% chance of hitting $100 within a few years with enough confidence to put their money where their mouth is. So anyone who says otherwise is not telling the truth. You can do that same math yourself for different prices, percentages, and time frames. My personal belief is that most cryptocurrency prices are in fact rational most of the time and actually reflect a reasonable analysis of their potential future prices and the probabilities associated with them. I also personally belief that most significant crypto bull runs were due to unpredictable external changes.

I always loved the original vision of XRPL, creating a global exchange where you can hold and trade anything of value. Arthur Britto here says the obvious, XRP Ledger > XRP. It's all about the network and the quality of the ecosystem, from quality assets to great apps that make all these possible and invisible to the end users. Both XRP and XRPL should be the hidden plumbing of the real world economy, consumer and institutional finance. Conclusion? Start using the XRPL, start interacting with it, don't focus only on XRP.

@Vet_X0 @NewWorldDawning @Bird_XRPL The idea for a DeX was his. The idea of using pathfinding to allow payments to incrementally draw from multiple liquidity sources was his.

I Lost My Dad: Some of you already know that my father was fighting stage 4 liver cancer. For those who didn’t know, I wanted to share that my dad returned to his Creator today at 7:30. We belong to God, and to Him we return. Even when our hearts are breaking, we trust His wisdom and mercy. Over the next couple of days, I’ll be focused on the funeral preparations. When I have the strength, I will write more about this month, everything happened so quickly. I also want to say this from my heart: The #XRPfamily has become my second family. My father was always counting on me, and I wished I could have told him, “We made it, the #XRP family stood with us.” Sadly, I didn’t get the chance. Thank you for your prayers, kindness, and support. May God have mercy on him and grant him peace

A while ago, I posted about games that looked great but had terrible gameplay/controls. The one that stuck with me was Dragon's Lair, but there were so many more mentioned in the comments that I had totally forgotten about. Today, I want to turn the question around - games that looked rather basic (or even poor) but had incredible gameplay. So, basically the polar opposite of Dragon's Lair. The choice for me was rather easy: M.U.L.E. (Ozark Softscape, 1983). Back then the graphics were ok but nothing to write home about. However, the reason why this game still has such a cult following and so many fans today - over 40 years later - is its gameplay. I never had more fun in a multi-player game. The land grabing, the auction system, supply and demand principles, and the many last second buy/sell antics have lost none of their charm. It's a game that aged beautifully because the concept and gameplay are as good today as they were back then. If you had to pick a game that ranks rather low in terms of presentation but fascinated you for its gameplay, which one would that be?
