@damola_mills @instablog9ja Skills can truly be developed online. Capital will always locate a skill that is relevant and useful.
English

@Dike1Dike @instablog9ja But you need skills, capital....Where will that come from? Online?
English

@damola_mills @instablog9ja With the right idea to solve a problem, you don't need takeoff grants or stipends. The foundation is the transformational idea.
English

@Dike1Dike @instablog9ja The government must give the foundation grants and stipends, then we start looking at out of the box. But foundation is important

@KabiesiOlukosi HRM, please forgive his utterance of ignorance

My Response:
IllBliss, Oga Boss,
Your words are not just careless — they are a deliberate provocation and a deep insult to the Yoruba people, the indigenous owners of Lagos (Eko).
Lagos was never a “no man’s land.” It is the ancestral home of the Awori Yoruba people. From the time of our forebears — the children of Olofin — to the thriving Yoruba kingdoms and communities that built this city long before modern Nigeria, Lagos has always been Yoruba land.
You and your people are welcome to live, trade, and prosper here — as millions of Igbos have done peacefully for decades. We Yorubas are hospitable people; that is our culture. But hospitality is not ownership.
No amount of buying properties (which many groups do) changes the fact of indigeneity. Under the Land Use Act, land belongs to the state, but the soul, history, culture, and political identity of Lagos remain Yoruba. We are not “fools” renting our inheritance. We are the landlords of our ancestral home.
Your statement reeks of arrogance, entitlement, and dangerous tribal supremacy. It fuels division. If Igbos truly “own” Lagos as you boast, why do you not build your own economic capitals in the Southeast to the same level? Why the fixation on claiming what is not yours?
To my Yoruba brothers and sisters:
Let us remain calm but resolute. Protect our heritage. Document our history. Support our own. And reject any narrative that seeks to erase us from our land.
Lagos is Yoruba. Eko o ni baje o.

@UsmanAkeemm @DefenseNigeria Yes, I agree with you. However, there could be provocation that could lead to death. These areas are restricted.

@Dike1Dike @DefenseNigeria I understand but don’t forget this is a democracy system we can all say our mind

Of all the places, you chose to take your protest to a Nigerian Air Force Base, throwing buzzwords about budgets. Are these guys aware the air force is by far the most expensive arm of the military to run yet receives less funding than the army and navy? A fighter jet cost millions per flight hour to operate, not counting the cost of fueling and maintaining highly complex aircraft and avionics. The cost or a single precision guided munition used by these aircaft ranges from $50,000 to over $150,000.
Nigerian Air Force's entire budget, when converted to USD is not enough to procure 12 modern fighter jets. Despite its limited resources, the Nigerian Air Force has been critical in Nigeria's fight against terrorism.

@InibeheEffiong Congratulations, sir!!!

In life, there are incredible moments and experiences that words alone cannot perfectly describe.
At the opening of the new head office of Inibehe Effiong Chambers yesterday in Lagos, we had the pleasure of hosting Hon. Justice Oludotun Adefope-Okojie (Rtd), a reputable and foremost jurist who retired from the Court of Appeal of Nigeria, as our Special Guest of Honour.
We were equally delighted to host my mentor, respected human rights lawyer and former President of the West African Bar Association, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, as the Chairman of the occasion.
Mr. Olumide-Fusika, SAN also registered his presence.
The Chairman of the Ikeja Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Quadri Adeniyi, was in attendance.
The Head Steward of the Layers of Truth Church International, Pastor Adedoyin Akerele came all the way from Kaduna and prayed for the firm.
Mr. Geoffrey Uzono of Channels Television was also with us. Popular political cartoonist, Mike Asukwo also graced the occasion.
Our courageous Precious Oruche, popularly known as MamaPee, came from Abuja to celebrate with us, amongst other respected and prominent friends of our firm.
We were only able to invite a handful of people due to time constraint.
Oga Yenne is the brain behind this video. Contact him if you need a reliable videographer in Lagos. He’s available to travel to other places.
We are eternally grateful to all our esteemed guests for making the event memorable.
History will vindicate the just.
