Timothy Chalamet should try saying more things he doesn’t like to see if he can get the other entire massive events to change their plans just to stick it to him.

@Moonlight_myths He was betrayed and usurped in an instant. I don’t know his full reaction but I mean sounds pretty painful on his part. He dedicated fatherhood to raising a child that wasn’t his & was repaid by losing his title as “dad” and being expected to take a secondary role. That hurts.

My husband raised my daughter since she was 7. She's 28 now and always called him "dad." Then her real father got out of prison and came back into her life. Suddenly my husband got jealous. She stopped calling him dad, started using his first name, and he completely switched up. He ignores her now, pulled out of co-signing her car, and said her "real dad" should handle it. Imagine raising a child for 20+ years just to throw her away over pride. Is love really that conditional? Now I'm stuck playing mediator in a family being torn apart by ego. Am I wrong for being disgusted by his behavior?

Using two of the most recognizable actors on the planet, who became famous by acting, and are the only reason AI like this is even interesting to people…does not prove the point that actors are cooked. There’s other things going on that prove that point much, much better 😂
Lucas Gage@LucasGageX

Bad news: Actors are cooked. Stuntmen are now obsolete. Good news: Actors will no longer be seen as "stars" but mere models. They will return to their proper place in society, as they were in ancient times: at the lowest rung.

@AndyMasley Economics is the study of how resources get allocated under scarcity. Stewart’s read of Econ is like saying “the goal of physics is to make bombs.”

Listening through the full Jon Stewart interview, this specific section was pretty shocking to hear. Stewart doesn't know that: 1) Economics both predicts people's behavior in response to taxes, and recommends taxes to deal with externalities. 2) Economics as a discipline doesn't say "We as economists should exclusively facilitate corporations maximizing shareholder value." He acts shocked and skeptical when Thaler says that economics is about maximizing the public's welfare. He disagrees with Thaler and says "The goal of economics in a capitalist system is to make the most amount of money for your shareholders. Since when is economics about improving the human condition?" 3) Economics isn't synonymous with "completely free markets with no taxes." I don't know how you spend 20+ years publicly commenting on politics 5 nights a week without at least bothering to learn this. Shows a pretty shocking lack of curiosity. youtu.be/rZczEzMu_U8?si…

Here is an example of why the incorporation of AI is happening in spite of its inferior results. And is wrecking everything. When this AI dubbing “feature” was rolled out, the reception was overwhelmingly negative. So why continue, if both the customers and the producers hate it? Because the people implementing it do not care at all if the quality is lower than human results. They do not care that the viewer doesn’t want it. All of this AI slop continues to be implemented because of the lure of the labor-reducing cost savings in not using humans for the job, and the widening of profit margins that result. So people can go on and on in interviews, podcasts, and panels about how LLMs are inferior to human writers, and how the visual output of AI models is inferior to capturing human actors, and “therefore will never overwhelm human-made films/series.” But they are ignoring the nature of the people using the generative AI programs. It’s not about improving films/series to these people. It’s about doing anything —anything, to improve profits.
