@peterrhague @wholemars Our token efficiency seems to be better than any other AI model and we see many more ways to improve inference per watt, so I think Grok will continue to be the best value for money of the frontier models

As usual, legacy media is misrepresenting the situation. I just asked Tesla & SpaceX to try out Grok 4.5 to see if it solves their task, not use it no matter what! They should continue to use other AI models if those models outperform Grok.

Sol isn't as smart as fable. But it's more useful. I'm probably going to mainline sol and use fable over the API for hard, hard task unblocking

grok 4.5 is seriously good. it's going in the direction which i'm hoping to see more of -- an emphasize on speed as well as intelligence. i'm noticing in my own work that speed is often the bottleneck now. the grok build tui is also very well done. bullish! but the bigger signal beyond the model is that the team over there has officially propped up the model factory. they have the compute, the talent, the data, and leaders in place to make a run for the top. never bet against elon, @milichab, and team. they're the real deal. we love some good competition.

grok-4.5-medium is right below opus-4.7 and 4.8 on eyebench-v3 although cheaper per-token, grok-4.5 spent ~9x more reasoning tokens than opus 4.7 and ended costing 2x as much.
