This is absolutely infuriating and completely idiotic. An estimated 95,000 scientists and researchers have left federal agencies since Trump returned to the White House. These are the people tracking hurricanes, studying pediatric cancer, and modeling the climate tipping points that determine whether we can still prevent catastrophe. We lost them because this administration defunded their work, shuttered their offices, and made clear that finding out the truth is no longer a government priority. NASA’s own administrator just said studying climate change isn’t part of NASA’s mission. The agency that first warned Congress about global warming in 1988 now treats that work as a distraction. Meanwhile, China and Europe are recruiting our scientists, funding their labs, and making long-term bets on the industries of the future while we gut the research infrastructure that took generations to build. Lanai.. 98% of it.. bought it for $300 million like it was a vacation home.. this is the same playbook every single time.. IBM fired 7,800 and replaced them with AI in 2023.. Amazon cut 27,000 the same year while reporting record revenue.. Atlassian cut thousands while profits climbed.. Google laid off 12,000 while sitting on $100 billion in cash.. they told you to learn to code.. you learned to code.. they told you to upskill.. you upskilled.. and then they replaced you with the thing you helped build and sent the termination letter before you woke up.. the company made record profits and decided the reward for that was firing the people who made it happen.

Trump can’t rewrite the Constitution. The birthright citizenship executive order is blatantly unconstitutional. I expect the Supreme Court to make that decision and invalidate it.

Smart laws and rules are not the same thing as central planning. The Constitution does not prohibit Congress from passing smart laws. For example, outsourcing critical production to India, Mexico, and China could have been banned. Also, Congress could replace the 21% corporate income tax with tenure-based employee profit-sharing. Laws can be smart and broad enough so that the government does not run businesses. Yet, businesses operate within the US market in a way that does not jeopardize national security or destroy the middle and working classes, while growing a welfare class.
