@KunnujiC I’m still in shock. Kola!!!! I’ve just been crying since I read it. So unbelievable. Kola was so fiercely loyal and loved his life to the fullest. This is just too sad

I login to Facebook, only to see people typing RIP to Kola Onifoto 😭😭😭 Like how?? I watched his live video yesterday morning, he was so full of life. Kola is always fighting to help people retrieve their debts on Facebook. What exactly is life?? Why are we really here?? Why?

@Oluomoofderby I’d like to gladly volunteer to help out, if you’re open&happy to having someone support you. I understand how busy it is and you’d subsequently need a team to attend to these requests, and signpost as appropriate. I’m invested in helping people, so hopefully you’d consider this

I sincerely apologise if my delayed response made you feel ignored. The honest truth is that I receive a very high volume of DMs every day, ranging from passport issues to homelessness, immigration challenges, and deeply personal situations. While I genuinely care about helping our community, it is not possible for me to personally respond to every single message. I’m not the Nigerian Ambassador to the UK, even though I’m the founder of the @NIUKCommunity This work has always been driven by passion and my commitment to supporting Nigerians, and I’ve been doing this consistently for years. That said, I still want to make sure you get the right support. Please send me a DM, and I will connect you with the President of the Nigerian Nurses in the UK @NNCAUK1 who may be in a better position to assist you. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

@Oluomoofderby It felt like you offered selective help. When I reached out to you, you never responded, and that silence contributed to me dropping out of my final studies in my Nursing program

@roxie_ug Just reading some of the vile comments show how sick minded people are. You’re not a humanitarian, you haven’t done one iota of sacrifice for anyone, yet all you can do is spew bile with the extent of sacrifice Anja has made and talk about ‘her appearance’? Gosh!

Came into the UK with 2 goals; 1. Become a Cyber Security Analyst 2. Become a Software Test Analyst I paid over £900 for the Software Test training with money I was making from picking shifts and couldn't get a decent QA job after the training. Meanwhile, my Credit Card limit was increasing drastically and my credit score was 900+. I got into the @Cyblackorg internship and this required full attention. I had to stop picking shifts and only pick shift when absolutely neccessary. There are days I will be on my way back from shift and will join internship meetings while driving. I still had to fulfil by obligation as a man at home and by so doing, I maxed out my credit card of over £5000 and my credit score took a significant hit (dropped to below 400). This affected me getting other credit facilities. But it was all in the plan. 2-3 months after my intership, I got a Cyber Security role and as of today, I have paid back my loan and taking on financial responsibilties I used to dream about.

@_DebbieOA For newly weds? They need their time together without any third parties and no matter how we look at it, Mama will become a third party eventually. Would be wiser to get paid labour to stay with her while the new family builds their lives. And then visit her frequently

This is supposed to be an easy situation🤦🏽‍♀️. So mother-in-law is seriously begging her son who'll be getting married next month to move close to her so she can have company. First daughter is abroad with her husband, daddy was buried two months ago, now mummy is feeling alone and since son is the only child left in Nigeria, mummy wants him and his wife to stay close to her. Also son is a business man and has no plan to leave the county in the near future. Son doesn't mind moving close to mum, but Daughter-in-law will be launching her small fashion business on the mainland soon and doesn't want to move to the island just yet. What would you advise Daughter-in-law?

@AskMichaelTaiwo No. Should have left a long time ago. My career would never have grown in such leaps&bounds if I’d remained. The dysfunctional system, the insecurity, the craziness& spontaneous instability, the insecurity, the police brutality, psychological damage- I’m in a better place now

@gaisebaba This culture-shaping claim of Gaise Baba is apparently counter intuitive. You look so much like the culture and I wonder how you intend to change it when you cannot first be separate. Look at how God changed the culture of the Israelites amidst prevalent civilizations…

I’m deeply honoured and truly grateful to be featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s “The Most Influential Women in International Film.” To be recognized among 46 powerful, visionary women from around the world is more than a moment of celebration—it’s a call to keep building, creating boldly, and lifting others as we rise. A heartfelt congratulations to Aunty MO @MoAbudu who has also been featured in this great piece. Thank you so much, Ma, for your invaluable contribution to the creative industry. It’s honor to be featured alongside someone who has been such a powerful source of inspiration.

SCIENTISTS FIND NATURAL COMPOUND THAT STOPS CANCER GROWTH Years of research—and a whole lot of ground-up flowers—just led to a breakthrough. Scientists have discovered sulfuretin, a plant compound that blocks an enzyme linked to cancer and multiple sclerosis. This enzyme fuels cancer growth and prevents myelin repair in neurodegenerative diseases. Now, researchers say they’ve found a way to shut it down. Next up: animal testing. If sulfuretin delivers, it could change how we treat cancer, MS, and even Alzheimer’s. Source: SciTechDaily

I said last year that the Conservatives will come forward with a plan to fix our immigration system. Today I’ve announced the first part: that living here has to mean something. That means making bold changes to who we allow to live in Britain, and how they apply. Let’s break it down👇

Congratulations Nigerian Nurses & Midwives🥂🎉🕺 NMCN Verification portal is now Re-opened🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🐓 In November 2023, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) introduced more stringent rules in the verification process for Nigerian nurses and midwives, which led to the prolonged closure of the verification portal for over six months. This significant delay sparked nationwide protests, intense negotiations, lobbying, and legal proceedings as the nursing community fought to address these challenges and restore fairness to the system. Today, we are proud to announce that through the tireless efforts of advocates and stakeholders, the NMCN verification portal is finally re-opened. This victory represents not only a step forward for Nigerian nurses and midwives, but also the power of collective action and dialogue in upholding the rights and dignity of our healthcare professionals. Let’s continue to build on this momentum and work toward a more transparent, efficient, and equitable future for all nurses.
