Actually, AI/Robotics will mean everyone can have a penthouse if they want. The output of goods & services will be several orders of magnitude higher than today’s economy. Read the Iain Banks Culture books for the best imagining of how it will be. That said, what is the future you want? Amazing abundance seems the best to me.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@ImKingGinger But if everything is more abundantly available and cheaper to produce - isn’t everyone’s money worth more?

@thevivafrei If this were true, wouldn’t that logic apply to all technological advancements that make producing wealth cheaper? How could additional wealth ever be created if this were the case? In your example, aren’t these retailers still competing with one another?

I don’t understand this argument. What good does “universal high income” do when all that would happen is massive inflation for the cost of goods? Awesome, now everyone’s a millionaire. And a computer now costs $20,000 because every retailer knows that everyone’s a millionaire.

@gmiller @avidseries Anyone who thinks a situation as serious and complex as this one can be described as a simple binary - and further that it’s helpful to actually say it publicly - is definitely part of the problem.

Both America and the Middle East would have been better off if Israel had never been created — the country has been a drag on US foreign policy since the 50s — but what's done is done, it's nearly 80 years on, and as much as it sucks for the Palestinians, they lost, Israel exists, and the sooner the Palestinians resign themselves to these painful facts and move on, the better for everyone.

@Huxx777 No, I think the outage is that a group that had been less than 3% of the population a hundred years before thought they had a right to an independent state in that same area.

Are you suggesting that’s not a smart strategy? Why would someone claiming to fear retribution from a government entity go into a government witness protection program? You can argue you don’t buy his story, but these actions make complete sense if you assume HE believes his story.

In S4: The Bob Lazar Story, he narrates how scared he is for his life, how he had to go public to protect himself, etc. Sure. That's what people do instead of witness protection programs. They appear on every media platform possible proclaiming that their life is in danger.

Here’s what this seems like to me: You’ve run up against arguments you can’t take on and, instead of facing that, you retreat to being increasingly vague. “I know, I’ll make a pantomime of an argument that derides my enemies but infuse it with humor and crude personal attacks so you can’t tell which part to take seriously. I don’t need to stand behind any of it, because you can’t pin me down and therefore can’t make wrong.”

Most capital-L Libertarians suffer what can only be called a "dirtbag superiority complex." They're mostly dirtbags who think they're better than everyone else, specifically smarter, because they think their ridiculous fantasies are logical and can work in reality. It's dumb!

One Battle After Another is currently 4th on my PTA: Ranked list behind There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights & Magnolia. But starting to wonder if it’s time to move PTA’s only Oscar winner up to at least #2. Curious where you guys have OBAA ranked relative to Boogie Nights.

@thebradfordkim Let me make this really easy for you because you're not smart. Being punched in the face or knocked out is objective, everyone can see it. Squabbling through Zoom is not objective, so everyone just claims they won no matter what, and that's really seriously dumb.

What if I was like: “Sean Strickland is a weakling pussy, I’d whoop his ass any day.” ‘Prove it, get in the ring with him’ “Er uhh no you see Sean already lost to Dricus du Plessis and he still has a career, so that’d be a waste of time for me…”

Coleman Hughes, who is quite young, already massively humiliated Dave, and it did nothing to curb his influence. I reject the premise. You don't actually know how any of this works or what's going on.

But a single piece of text - a word - can trigger an incredibly rich tapestry of mental imagery. What’s more, words combined can intentionally modify and add to this mental tapestry just as quickly. Once we learn language, and develop the necessary associations via experience, it becomes a code that unlocks access to a visual-based communication system that is indeed far faster than a single image.

The human brain processes visual information 60,000x faster than text. Humans are visual processors, not text processors. Images hit the brain instantly. Words take work. That's why a single SpaceX launch video communicates more than a thousand-word essay—and why your slide decks hit harder than paragraphs. We're wired for pictures, not prose.

@geraldposner @davidharsanyi @benshapiro What single piece of evidence reduces your certainty by the largest margin? For example, does the difficulty of the shot itself reduce your assessment of the probability Oswald acted alone? If so, by how much?

A year ago, my conversation with @benshapiro about the JFK assassination went viral. Yet here we are in 2026—still treating it as an unsolved mystery. It isn’t. The case is not complicated. Lee Harvey Oswald killed John F. Kennedy. Alone. There is no credible evidence for the CIA, LBJ, Israel, the mob, or any grand cabal. What we have instead: decades of bad history, proportionality bias (the idea that a nobody couldn’t kill a president), and suspicion masquerading as proof—now amplified by social media. I’m still waiting, after all these years, for what conspiracy theories never produce: Evidence.
