I know this has been said a million times in a million different ways, but it genuinely is so FUCKING insane that we are now fully aware our government is filled with child trafficker murderer rapist pedophiles and we all just wake up in the morning and go to work and pay our bills and are filing our taxes to pay a government full of fucking child trafficker murder rapist pedophiles. Every day I feel like I’m inching closer to a full manic episode and I’m not being dramatic or funny this shit is not okay or normal what the fuck are we even doing anymore bro

can someone please explain to me how someone gets 8 hours of sleep, 10,000 steps a day, goes to work, maintains good hygiene, cleans their house, exercises, takes care of their animals, and has time for hobbies and socializing? cause i feel like this is also propaganda.

Hot take: Every content creator who was pushing the game forward in Chapter 1 should’ve had an Icon skin by now. CourageJD, TypicalGamer, Muselk, Dakotaz, DrLupo, Myth, etc. hell, even Ceeday. #Fortnite

In some way? Yo, in every way. Every single way. When you’re a kid, your parents’ financial status determines everything: the school you go to, the kind of food you eat, the neighborhood you live in, the resources you’re exposed to, and it starts early. The school you attend shapes the kinds of interactions you have in your first seven years, which, developmentally, are the most important years of a child’s life. It also determines what they can provide materially, not just in terms of comfort, but in emotional presence. A parent constantly worried about survival might not have the emotional bandwidth to truly show up for their child. That child grows up in a state of lack: materially, emotionally, and mentally. Then comes secondary school. Are you in the kind of school where teachers harass students and the toilets don’t flush? Or are you in a school with national programs, exchange trips, summer internships, extracurriculars, and exposure to things like piano lessons or Mandarin classes? Better schools open better doors. Next up is university. Are you able to study abroad? And if so, what kind of university do you attend? Because not all foreign degrees are equal. Do you land in a top-ranked, affluent institution, or one that’s considered less competitive? And that matters, especially in industries like finance, law, or consulting, where prestige still plays a big role. Mind you, many can’t even access education at all. Still, it’s not just about education. Your financial background shapes your entire worldview. Do you move through the world with a scarcity mindset or an abundance one? What kind of social circles are you exposed to? What kind of language do you pick up? What do you assume is possible for yourself? So no, it’s not just that your upbringing influences your adult life in some way. It shapes it in every single way. Just say it. Don’t be shy. Yes, as an adult, you can grow. You can improve your life, switch paths, change outcomes. But let’s not act like the starting point doesn’t matter. Your parents’ financial status can determine your income class, your tax bracket, your worldview, your confidence, and the standards you set for your life. I know this firsthand. I went to a university that was considered quite posh, even by Nigerian or British standards. We had Oxford-style formal dining three times a day. Professional cleaners came in to clean our private rooms and bathrooms every other week. That kind of luxury creates a baseline. It sets your standards. You get used to a certain level of excellence, and as you move through life, you simply won’t tolerate less. Today, I’m statistically in the top 5% of earners in the UK. Not even 30 yet. And honestly, I don’t even think there’s anything particularly “exceptional” about me. I’m not a genius. I didn’t invent anything. I just wasn’t raised in poverty. I went to good schools, got a good job after uni, and then transitioned into an even better one. And what’s wild is that some people who were born and raised in the UK, who’ve lived here their whole lives, still don’t have access to what I do now. Why? Because they grew up in poverty. They inherited not just material lack, but a scarcity mindset, and they’ve never been able to fully break out of it. To them, suffering is the norm. So yes, your parents’ financial status affects everything. Every. Fucking. Thing.

Unrelated, but your parents’ financial status will, in some way, influence how your adulthood turns out.

I didn’t realize this needed clarification, but I wasn’t suggesting we house homeless people in these facilities. I was suggesting we spend the money being allocated to concentration camps on things like affordable housing and social supports.
