@TTChelps @SepehrSamavi that's incorrect and you know it! The delay is due to opto and 2 person crews attempting in vain to line up with 1 another. This is what happens when there's a split line 7 days a week.

@SepehrSamavi Hi Sephr. Service adjustments can mean a number of different things. However, I would imagine that because the train held for 10 minutes, a large gap would have developed ahead so trains are likely being moved around to fill in the gap. ^FR

@TTChelps what does it mean when ‘a service adjustment’ causes the train randomly holds for 10 minutes at st george after having been delayed at previous stations?

6/6 Why are the CIty and TTC overstating the peak improvements?

Fact check on a City of Toronto press release: "To accommodate increased demand in September, the TTC is increasing service system-wide to support the expected increase in ridership, including 25 per cent more subway trains on Line 1 and Line 2 at peak times on weekdays..."

@shelleycarroll This incident occurred with Automatic Train Control operating. The only reason this near collision was avoided was because a door guard was present. ATC did not prevent this near collision! Even one collision with serious injury or death is too many! #TOpoli #TTC #Toronto

This is a very serious incident. I’m not sure we can afford to remove another set of eyes that keep riders safe as we recover from the pandemic. #TTC
