Two colleagues retired at 45. No hot tips. No genius. Just bought $VOO and $VTI — on repeat every month. Game Over. I on the other hand, Started with $VOO and $VGT. 2020 crash hit. Switched to individual stocks to take advantage of low valuations. Made gains most people never see in a lifetime. Then watched all gains and then some evaporate in the bear market that followed. Now? Back to $VOO and $VUG. Automated. Every month. The market taught me what my colleagues already knew. I do have individual stocks $ZETA, $MSFT, $AXON, $RBRK, $IREN, $SOFI, $BROS. But will sell and slowly switch it to Index funds.

Market is almost at all time high. Anything related to semis, power, data center, memory, networking, robotics and space have been doing well for the last few months while SaaS, consumer staples and medical devices have been hit hard. Here are some medical devices and health related stocks that can be accumulated as these are at reasonably good valuations. $BSX, $DHR, $TMDX, $ISRG, $ZTS, $MDLN and $ABT. Cinema is a business just like any other business and @RVikraman asking the CM to build houses for cinema stars and supporting actors on tax payer money just because the CM came from movie industry should not be entertained. Need for good housing exists for everyone and not just actors. Either you do it for everyone who needs it or spend the money that can benefit the public and not just one section of people.
