@midgethoughts Which is amazing. I wish there was more care in the people who are actually writing/creating the piece. Those are ones presenting wales. Any other culture/place… the press would be all over it.

@DirectorDan86 To be fair, it does look like there’s lots of Welsh rep in the cast with Caroline Sheen, Robin Hayward, Chris Jenkins, Sarah Pugh, and Mared Williams.

It BAFFLES me that out of the three composers, director, writer, designer and choreo, not one of them is welsh!! At least we have @michaelsheen and @NTWtweets giving a shit about welsh creatives on wales centric projects. I just hope the cast is more authentic than the film!

@DirectorDan86 @michaelsheen @NTWtweets Hi Dan,this might sound like ,well he would say that wouldn’t he because he’s in it but Pride isn’t a Welsh story. It’s about many things with lots of themes ,socialism ,homophobia,HIVAIDS, cooperation and solidarity with minority groups but none of it is about Wales.Celebrate it

@bigbaddaz68 @michaelsheen @NTWtweets I agree it’s about a lot of things but by placing in a small welsh town it becomes about wales and about welsh people. Imagine it was set in a small irish community or an African one…it wouldn’t be allowed. Its a huge wasted opportunity to get wales truly visible on the stage.

Can we stop reviving with same team….the show’s IP is big enough, give someone else a chance to explore the text for god’s sake!
