#PIP The DWP began extending hundreds of thousands of personal independence payment (PIP) awards last month. This is a matter of enormous consequence for claimants, yet the department has published almost no information about what is happening. benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/pip-award…

@cookiebilbo2024 The post was a point in response to someone saying disabled people should provide receipts to prove what we spend the money on. Why should we. It’s general bills and the extras as mentioned above we have to pay for

@Dis_PPL_Protest When are some disability activists going to acknowledge that for many disabled people the extra costs of being disabled are from not having a job because you're too sick to work. So the money doesn't go on taxis or therapies or w/e, it just pays a person's general living costs.

#PIP To the public: PIP is not an out of work benefit. It’s to meet the additional costs incurred due to your disability. It pays for taxis as public transport is inaccessible for disabled people it pays for medications no longer available on the NHS

@Dis_PPL_Protest If you can afford it pay for it. Paying people because they’re disabled is dehumanising. If you can’t pay to live you deserve help. Same with all welfare. Means tested.
