@DeanEggitt I'm regularly kept waiting 30 minutes or more after the allotted time for my GP appointments. I don't even usually mind that much because I know there'll be a good reason. HOWEVER if I had a really good reason for being 30 mins late would I be seen? Doesn't seem fair really.

I start work as a GP at 7:30am. My first appointment is 8:30. In that first hour, I am working on tasks, prescriptions, letters and test results. Some of these are urgent - meaning I can start my first appointment late form time to time. There's a reason for everything.

@RealismHelps @YardleyShooting This is why I used the word likely, you look up the number of jobs estimated to be ghost listing's/already have an internal candidate chosen and then compare with the number of jobs not publicly listed and % wise it's roughly the same number.

Twice as many are classified as disabled now as 2019. Many on PIPs (not all) are swinging the lead (not least to themselves). Meantime, you see so many now with NHS aluminum walking sticks who clearly don't need them. They congregate at Gregs & Costas. There's a legion with anxiety & depression now who have just chosen not to work. The county can't afford it.

@RealismHelps @YardleyShooting I'm agreeing with you there, but the addition of these non publicly advertised jobs are ofset by the very large percentage of jobs advertised that are ghost listing's or already taken and only listed due to required policies/equal opportunity mandates .

@cookiebilbo2024 @YardleyShooting For sure there's 'CV harvesting' going on, but there's countless (usually) smaller firms who recruit through (e.g.) business breakfasts/contacts/family etc - I have one via a contact. Too many folk simply don't bother trying or frig the process by making sure they're not hired.

@cookiebilbo2024 @YardleyShooting There's a lot more jobs 'out there' than advertised in the usual places. 4m - no, but enough for those who genuinely want to work. As another had posted there are acutely ill, terminally ill etc who simply cannot work - they're few in number but do exist.

@Mattrify @Dis_PPL_Protest And I'm suggesting that it's actually a dangerous idea to perpetuate because the government could wind up recinding PIP completely for a lot of desperate ppl who use the money to pay for bills/food ect if this fact isn't acknowledged.

#PIP To the public: PIP is not an out of work benefit. It’s to meet the additional costs incurred due to your disability. It pays for taxis as public transport is inaccessible for disabled people it pays for medications no longer available on the NHS

More misinformation. I am saying if you're motivated you can find work OR MAKE WORK (as I have often done). This isn't bs. You need a flexible mindset. If you have a dependent mindset - which govt and others now encourage until money runs out - then you may have real difficulty.
