But why keep all cooldowns the same? When Tejo was launched, he had a different cooldown to everyone else, and I thought that would be an awesome way to balance classes. Why not keep the most picked initiators cooldowns high and give the other struggling ones a smaller one?

Really wish it would different per initiator. People were able to handle smoke timings being different over the years.

Nº 1 thing that makes Neon frustrating to play against is all the bunnyhopping, which this mostly takes care of.
Thing is, slide speed and accuracy after sliding better be nerfed too, cause otherwise most situations will play the same.

• Jumping with High Gear active no longer provides any speed bonus while Neon is airborne. Instead, Neon’s air speed while sprinting will match melee speed.
• Fuel will only regenerate with a kill when Neon's ultimate is active
• Fuel will still regenerate passively
• Improved VFX to more clearly communicate the direction and origin of her slide

If we go by the devs saying Viper is around 6ft (182 cm) Neon is most likely around 150 cm so she is about 20 cms shorter than an operator (172cm)

Eager to hear about the devs' problem solving on this one. Though I definitely don't envy their task. I feel like there are droves of community members on both sides of the topic who already have their pitchforks out and torches lit regardless of outcome.
For my part, I've already talked about the parts of Neon's kit that I believe are outside the realm of what we should want in our TacFPS. But, there's a good number of problems she highlights that are also just symptomatic of broader issues (I've talked on these too but mostly only on streams - the big ones being in-air/moving accuracy and the initiator nerf's repercussions starting to take full root). Navigating Neon adjustments while also considering those bigger picture issues and their future solutions is a tall ask.
