Discord Previews

We now have a Discord server with a custom bot that automatically posts about new stuff that was added to the Discord client like new text, experiments and soon even more: discord.gg/mqjwhDemBt We will still post about bigger things on this Twitter account as before though.

The screenshot includes placeholder icons we've added, as the real badge sprites are not yet accessible.

Discord is adding a new badge type: Gifting Badges. You will be able to receive your Gifting Badge by purchasing gifts (for example Nitro subscription gifts or Discord Shop item gifts) and sending them to your friends.

You will be able to find all channels that are available on a server's web page.

Here's an updated look for Announcement Web Pages in verified servers which allow for announcement channels to be exposed as web pages.

It will also be possible to browse historical statistics for each calendar week.

Discord is working on a website to show what games are trending on the platform. You will be able to see what games most people are playing, directly join their servers (if they've verified through Discord's new official server programme), and glance at other interesting stats.

SPECULATION: We have also found some references that may hint at an upcoming system to hide badges on your profile, but this is still lacking concrete evidence, so do not take it as a fact that this is actually something being worked on.

Discord is working on moving the information from the Profile Badges support article directly into the app. You will be able to click on a user's badges to view more information about them directly in-app, as well as view a list of currently obtainable badges.

You can designate announcement, forum, text and voice channels as a spoiler channel without the need to recreate them (through channel settings).

Discord is adding Spoiler Channels. Before you can view a channel's contents, you'll be shown a quick confirmation screen. They work similarly to adult-only channels, except no age verification or date of birth is required to view them.

You will be able to find details on how to activate game pass on your Nitro home, once the feature rolls out.

Discord is building public web pages for announcements from verified servers. Whilst these new pages are still in a very early development stage, no account will be needed to view them, and they'll likely be indexed by search engines, similar to Server Web Pages.

This effort seems to have the goal of solving the long-standing issue of information being locked away in Discord servers.

It is currently unclear whether there will be any additional features for Bounties or if this is simply a more prominent video ad format.

Discord is working on a new ad format called Bounties. Bounties currently have their own section in the mobile app, with differences in the layout of the ad end screen.

You will be able to change your assigned store country by making a purchase using a payment method from your region. Your store country will apply to all purchases made until you manually change it.

Discord will soon show you which store country your account is assigned to in Billing Settings. Your store country determines: - The price of items in a regional currency. - The regional availability of items (e.g. Jujutsu Kaisen collectibles were unavailable in some regions).
