@Geckomacabrex I think the biggest issue about your posts is that they average 10 views and don’t reach corporate.
English

I think the biggest issue is these companies misconstrue the word "ownership"
We dont want to own the code or IP or whatever the fuck else
We just want to buy a game and it still work 5-10 years later.
Disc or not.

English

@github Are you kidding? This is stupid and you have such a weak control system to determine if I own my repo, I just have to confirm?
No you should do better.
English

We heard you. And we agree.
In light of recent developments in physical media, GitHub is proud to announce that you can now obtain your public repo on CD-ROM.
Keep it. Lend it to friends. Pass it on to your children.
Your code is physically yours, forever. Until you lose it, let's be real.
Order yours today.

@KokoDreamsComfy @WumpusCentral Holy bait. Moving to a different app changes nothing if done at scale. If everyone moves to a discord alternative then that alternative will be used for the same reason discord was used for and the platform will adopt age verification like discord did to avoid many issues.
English

@WumpusCentral Boycott the whole government… for this stupid shit!
Or
MOVE TO A DIFFERENT FACKING APP…. Discord just isnt it….
English

Discord is beginning to implement Incode for age verification, a move that is already sparking serious privacy concerns among users. While Discord claims that Incode processes biometric data locally via on-device AI without permanent server-side logging, sharing sensitive IDs and selfies with any third-party vendor remains a massive red flag for many. Given Incode's controversial history with platforms like TikTok, where the vendor was heavily criticized for long retention periods and storing biometric data server-side, users who expect strict privacy are highly skeptical about handing over their biometrics, regardless of Discord's current technology claims.

@DiscordPreviews Yeah, I understood that one. I'm just saying that closing your DMs isn't enough, and this is yet another thing you have to do to stop unsolicited messages.
English

@t8of4 As we've already said in the original post you can opt out of seeing the friend request note, so if you don't want to see them you can just do that.

Friend request notes are rolling out, here's an updated look at how they work on desktop!
Also, if you don't want to see the notes people are adding to their friend requests, you can opt-out of seeing them via your User Settings!

Discord Previews@DiscordPreviews
Discord is adding a new system that will let you add notes to friend requests. This will allow you to let someone know why you'd like to add them as a friend. The note is only shared with the person you're sending the friend request to.
