🚨 BREAKING: @Topstep interfering with live trader positions 🚨 A funded trader is UP $5,000 on the day, in a 4-contract GC trade with $0 risk (stop at breakeven)… And yet Topstep forced a $3,000 trailing stop on the position — not because of trader risk, but because they decided to manage the trade themselves. Here’s the actual message from Topstep support: “We will step in to manage downside risk when you are profitable.” So now prop firms are trading instead of the trader? If a trader is funded, in profit, and fully risk-controlled… who exactly is supposed to be making the trading decisions? @Topstep @MichaelPatak This raises serious questions about trader autonomy inside funded accounts. Same exact thing happened to me, was experiencing some lag so I canceled all my limit orders. Refreshed browser and I got fills on all of them the exact same second I cancelled them, it immediately blew past my daily stop loss for over $400. I haven’t posted anything negative because I know @Topstep will make it right. The discord was filled with people experiencing the same thing.

I’m in disbelief 😅 all I wanted to do was close my trade and go about my fucking day 🤣😂 @projectxtrading there has to be a way y’all can block key stroke history from being activated while the system was paused. Hell I wish it would’ve paused again while I was in those longs 😅😂🤣 @Topstep

How a person takes responsibility for their mistakes is, in my opinion, the true mark of character. I think it's a given that we all screw up from time to time. I certainly made a mistake endorsing @Aidostrading as quickly as I did. I was completely unaware that you could replay executions on Sierra Charts and make them appear to be entirely legitimate trades. Part of my enthusiasm was that many of the ideas he was trading were extremely similar to my own. And his execution and management was better than mine - I'm not afraid to admit that. I was incredibly impressed with how trades were held in full rotation. I also really hope Jose puts this to rest by producing trade confirmations that mirror the executions he has shared on X. That would genuinely be the best case scenario here. Confirmations would be a clean solution as they wouldn't reveal account information, and the size of the positions have already been shared on X. My own due diligence fell short. I should have done before and definitely should have known better. I didn't want to just let this go without addressing it. If I contributed to a problem or a situation, it's on me to do what I can to set it right. @_thefalse9_ thank you for asking me to comment. I wouldn't have seen this till much later if it wasn't for you. I appreciate you.
