I’m no expert but... If your audience is made up of mostly men, you should probably refrain from insulting them and generalizing them. If you can’t respect your male audience, you don’t deserve their support.

This was a hard video to make, as being a man and being heard when it comes to online harassment, and sexual harassment, especially in the VTubing sphere is extremely hard due to so many women being instantly dismissive. youtube.com/watch?v=JSjM2P… But, I do feel like men deserve to be heard and to address this, as this week there has been so much blind hate towards male VTubers and men as a whole. Mostly sparked by Bao's comment, but as well, many females use "Male VTubers" as objects and it's disgusting. I will finetune some of my comments here, please either fully watch my video or fully read here before judging. 1) Bao is not evil lol. I personally think Bao is a funny, successful and talented creator. I think she is a role model and seems like a great person. No hate on her, nor should anyone hate on her blindly. 2) I also agree with her comments, that Mizkif (as that's what her tweet was alluding towards) was a horrible man who used his influence to manipulate women and love-bomb them, use them, grow his platform from using and abusing women. Sexually and humiliating them. He's a freak. So you comment IS NOT WRONG. I AGREE WITH HER. SHE IS RIGHT. She also made other comments RTing that "everyone" is a problem, or could be. Guys or girls. But here's the real problem: Many women are silencing male vtubers for speaking out about them being abused and sexually harassed. All the guys I’ve spoken to can confirm it’s happened to them, and the amount of women I’ve seen on twitter blindly harassing and dismissing men speaking out about this is heartbreaking. People have come to me about this. It’s a us vs the creepy people in the Vtubing sphere, not men vs Bao. We like Bao. But, her being a large creator and setting this precedent is harming men, I’m seeing it and just because you don’t doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Once again, as a guy I’m just trying to be heard and let my other male vtubers be listened to as they’re afraid to speak. Even saying this publicly is scary, this is trauma and hard to bring up. Disguisedtoast this week was sexually harassed on stream and was fondled by a female creator. He even said he didn’t want to cause a scene, affect the sponsor, and was extremely uncomfortable. As a man it’s hard to speak out, it’s a social stigma that men need to be strong. That it’s weak to speak. Men are trying to speak and women have been insulting men and saying the world’s better off without men. It’s heart breaking. Male Vtubers without a voice are being silenced and hurt. I spent tens of thousands of dollars and years of work to make my Vtuber model and this is my first impression of the community. Google docs, petty fights, women wishing men didn’t exist. As I’ve had countless female VTuber streamers bigger than me harass me, send me unsolicited nudes, try to flirt with me and even just role play as their characters. It’s sickening that this is ok! It’s worse that people normalize it or silence this! Guy or girl, this should never be ok. It feels like men are just pawns, used by female vtubers when it’s beneficial. We’re trying to speak and no one is listening. That is where Baos influence hurts. Instead of condemning it looks like she’s doubling down on haters instead of bringing up people hurt. Other women use this to insult men blindly and wish we didn’t exist. It hurts seeing, especially for the men who can’t speak for themselves or don’t have the voice to. That’s the problem. Not Bao, but people dismissing men as so many are trying to be heard. Mizkif was horrible. Bao even retweeted the “everyone was bad” comments. But others are still attacking men for speaking up. It’s a very unwelcoming community seeing this as a fresh face here.
