Kind of tired of trans sentiment when it’s “kill all doctors” especially when there are so many on our side doing what they can to advance trans healthcare. Of course bad experiences will happen, but lord stfu and stop dooming 😭

@KirstiMiller30 I know because cissexual women dont take 8mg of estradiol ever and are also taking a high dose of an anti-androgen. Its plain as day obvious that someone is trans just by looking at their prescription. But I know you wont believe my professional experience though.

@gottmik In my experience with the LA LGBT Center yes! It’s a normal precaution but I would also make them aware of your situation! I’ve been in a pinch before and sometimes they’ll find a way to deal with these odd circumstances! Sorry about the inconvenience that sucks :(

Wait is it normal if my doctor left the lgbt center and now I have to do a full 45 min in person onboarding appointment with the new doctor they assigned me AND get all new labs before I get my hormones refilled,.. Which I need NOW? It wasn’t my choice my original doctor left!😭

Being a non-passing visable transwoman is honestly fucking horrible. People are cold, rude, they stare and can be downright nasty, it is the most socially isolating experience in the world. I'm traveling with my mother, and how she is treated as a cis woman is night and day.

This is one of those tough conversions that we need to have.
This take is from a political perspective.
Self ID post 2016 has completely fucked us.
We are getting fucked in the courts, we are getting fucked in the legislatures.
And every time they pass a law stripping us of our rights they present a detransitioner who Self ID into being trans when with proper protocols in place would have never been allowed to transition in the first place.
Or the Right spreads propaganda of someone who obviously reads male to literally everyone. Probably due to the blue hair and beard shadow. And they say, "see look at this male predator going into the women's."
Is it fair to the trans community?
100% absolutely not. We are absolutely being scapegoated.
But its undeniable that Self Id of recent has fucked our community optics within cisnormative society.
The community needs to grapple with the reality of the situation that we are going to continue to lose rights so long as most of cisnormative society thinks of a trans woman as a man versus a passing woman.

I know this will be a hot take with some, but Self ID for trans people was legitimately the worst thing that ever happened to our civil rights movement. It paved the way for people who had zero business being out in public as their preferred gender as it allowed people to do so with little effort given in trying to pass. Its created terrible optics issues that the Right absolutely clings to as examples of "men in women's spaces."

Actual transsexual women are going to lose all our civil rights because of these people.
Natal women, not conventionally attractive, that do not behave anything like men but need to believe they are the same thing I am. They think transsexuality is a special gender expression category, and not a crippling medical condition you barely survive
