Divisional Commissioner Jammu @Rameshkumarias visited Kathua District. He reviewed major infrastructure projects, chaired meetings to review the implementation of Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, and assessed arrangements for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2026. The Div Com inspected the progress of works on the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and reviewed the pace of construction at various stretches. He held detailed discussions with the concerned officers and executing agencies regarding the roadmap for timely completion of the project and stressed the need for maintaining quality standards while ensuring adherence to deadlines. He further inspected the Lakhanpur Corridor and took stock of the beautification, traffic management and amenities improvement being undertaken in view of the upcoming pilgrimage season. The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the progress of digitization of revenue records and processing of ownership cases of West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs), Displaced Persons (DPs) of 1947, 1965 and 1971 in the district. He called for speeding up the assigned works and stressed upon ensuring error-free data entry and timely disposal of pending cases.

Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress of Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna in the Jammu province. Div Com laid stress on identifying the bottlenecks for effective implementation and mobilizing of maximum number of people to avail the subsidized scheme which aims at reducing the power bill and promoting green energy usage. Div Com asked the JPDCL to intensify the awareness and publicity campaign to highlight the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna. Divisional Commissioner Jammu @Rameshkumarias attended a Football match organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan. The event was aimed at motivating the youth towards sports and inspiring people for eradicating the menace of Durg Abuse from our society.

Divisional Commissioner Jammu @Rameshkumarias, and @igp_jammu Bhim Sen Tuti, chaired a meeting to review the progress on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’s 100 Days campaign across the Jammu Division. It was informed that Mahila Nigrani Samitis are being constituted in every panchayat and ward to provide feedback and active support in the intensified campaign against the Drugs abuse. The Divisional Commissioner and IGP Jammu sought suggestions and ideas from Deputy Commissioners for further increasing the impact and positive outcomes on the ground for complete eradication the menace of drug abuse from our society. The Divisional Commissioner stressed on employing all the novel ideas that can bring out tangible results and impactful outcomes in the fight against the Drug abuse in its complete letter and spirit.

Divisional Commissioner Jammu @Rameshkumarias, attended a Pledge Campaign on the theme “Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir” organised by Delhi Public School, Jammu during its special assembly. He urged the students to recognise their role as the future of the nation and encouraged them to actively participate in eradicating the menace of drugs abuse from the society. He also stressed the crucial role that schools and youth can play in spreading awareness and building a strong, drug-abuse free society.

During their visit to the revered shrine, the Divisional Commissioner and IGP Jammu took a comprehensive review of the detailed arrangements planned for the smooth and safe conduct of the Shree Machail Mata Yatra 2026. The Divisional Commissioner directed for ensuring effective implementation and enforcement of RFID based registration, with counters to be established for on-the-spot registration at Gauri Shankar Mandir Sarkoot, Kishtwar and in Gulabgarh.
