Ok, there are some good arguments against me here. I see that it's problematic. But I have to be honest, living in a largely gay community in MSP for all those years, I knew a lot of people who did stuff like this. It was unexceptional. (Which I agree is a concern)

Am I wrong to think that a teacher's entirely private life - in which they do nothing illegal or violent - is off limits when it comes to assessing their job performance? This guy did nothing in front of or near kids. I don't see why his stage performance is relevant.

Regardless of whether the person IDs as man or woman, their desire for men would be a constant. Hence, preliminarily IDing as a gay man before IDing as a straight trans woman.

Nobody said anything about adult gay men being forced to do anything. In every single hearing I’ve testified in there are parents claiming to have a “trans daughter” between the ages of 4 and 10 who they say came out to them as trans and they knew this was true because he always liked playing with dolls and wearing Disney princess dresses. They always say they’re so worried about “gender affirming care” being made illegal for minors because they’re going to need to make some tough decisions in a few years when their “daughter” approaches puberty. It’s not outrageous for adults, especially adult gay men who were effeminate little boys who liked dresses & dolls, to wonder what is going to happen to these boys who have already been socially transitioned. We’ve never seen this many young children being affirmed in their trans identity before, so we have no idea if socially transitioning “locks it in” or if they’ll realize they’re not actually girls before it’s too late. We know most of the older males who want to transition are the highly autistic “nerdy” types, but right now the future of the young effeminate male cohort is just one big question mark. TRAs are also going to have to drop the whole “gender medicine experts know which kids are gay and which are trans” thing since so many pediatric gender medicine “experts” have openly admitted they don’t say no to any children who come into their clinics saying they’re trans because “trans kids know who they are.”

@tawansbutterfly Connor performed like an actor who will one day win an Oscar, and Huson (and Robbie and Francois) performed like someone who will get steady work for the rest of their careers. All are good but not equal.

The sooner you accept that the very obvious talent gap between Connor and Hudson will play a major role in the trajectories of their careers, the earlier we can have meaningful discourse. While that cast held their own, Connor delivered the stand out performance of that show.

@Imogengenwn7b Shane Hollander being on the spectrum is something Hudson and the rest of the fandom practically forced Rachel into confirming. And even Shane is on the spectrum, from the book I read, he's not as far down the spectrum as Hudson portrayed him.

He may well have to deal with internalised homophobia and a homophobic family (although that usually diminishes) - but that is by far the better outcome.

Then more likely to miss connections forcing multi ticket groups to book last minute flights at higher price.

From the start I was torn: not saying they’re a couple because they haven’t officially said anything and calling them friends, but calling them friends when they’re clearly together feels like shoving them back into the closet. And beyond that, people say “don’t assume,” but they’re not hiding either. They make a point of showing up together and sharing the same friends. As a gay man, I feel more comfortable saying they’re a couple.

@yang_bo_dudnik I think all back flips look bad in skating, but crowds have been going wild for them for 50 years. Maybe we're the minority. It's baffling though. I'm pretty sure any quad is way more difficult than a flip. Yet the cheers when Ilia does a flip are crazy.

just making over the top facial expressions. Spin positions imprecise & undefined. Tricks here don't work as well as SP. I truly find his backflip ugly in the FS as the form is so messy & wild with the bent knees & unparallel legs. Stop the tucked LOSO & just do a back tuck.

Purely skating & composition wise, Ilia's FS is already much weaker than his SP, but without the wow factor of for example his 7 clean quads at GPF, he can't overcome how sloppy & empty this program is. His spread eagle 4F is truly textbook & stunning & his 3A was effortless here

@yunaslarks Why isn't the PCS independent of the execution part of the 12 executed skills? They already score those individually. Wouldn't that be double dipping? He fell on the Lutz combo and got just 3 points. They hammered him already on the fall. Why again in the art score?

quite literally the only mistake Shun made today was a slight stumble that didn’t interrupt the flow of his program. Ilia had a major jumping error and beat him PCS wise. this is another example where the judges don’t hold Ilia to the same standards they hold other skaters.

@huddypookie I feel like normal gay couple behavior was just described. My husband and I split up at parties to mingle separately and then periodically reconvene. Of course when meeting new people one turns on the politeness and charm and then returns to baseline when with partner.

@IlyasCigarette If Unrivaled is going to delve into negative public reactions. It could make sense to end Season 2 with the Cameo incident. They have to be very confident in season 3 being green lit at this point. With H and C being repped by CAA, I can't see an affordable contract extension.

@mquinvid @GymCastic Rather than rejudge E score, which is probably unworkable, there should be heavy deductions (0.5+) for "planned downgrade" errors (twists/turns at quarter mark +/- 45 degrees and puck position). A good side effect would be fewer sloppy skills and then fewer inquiries.

@GymCastic 2. If a D-score is revised, the E-score should be allowed to change accordingly. If initially an element was not awarded full D-score, probably it didn’t affect E-score, but when awarded, maybe other E deductions would be given, like bent knees or such.
