@Dividends_Doors My parents home took 20 years to increase from $175k to $280k. They sold in 2018. That house in 2022? Sold for $570k. You think thats a normal price increase in a 4 year timeline? C'mon man...
You do realize real estate prices nationwide increased year over year right? And that median home prices keep rising year after year.
Are there some pockets of the country where real estate has not performed as strongly, absolutely.
But as a whole, people calling for 50% crashes in prices have been dead wrong and you unfortunately have bought into it.
@Dividends_Doors Horrible predictions? And who is feeling sorry for themselves? The buyers in 2022? They should feel sorry for themselves. They bought a house for $500k that sold 2 years prior for $280k. That was an unsustainable increase in value and its inevitable that it crashes big time.
I’m not saying that buying real estate is necessary to build wealth.
In fact, there are thousands of ways to become a millionaire- stocks, crypto, starting a business, ect.
What I am saying is that all the wealthy people in my life own real estate at some level.
The wealthiest Americans own real estate.
@GeneralPepper64 Yes, it may be more difficult than in the past to purchase a home, but these people spreading misinformation & horrible predictions make people feel sorry for themselves and feel like a victim.
Ownership of one’s actions is the way, not a victim mentality.
@Dividends_Doors The median household income is half of what you need to purchase a median priced home. You're the cancer to society, not the "doomers".
$GOOG is very attractive here imo.
24% yoy revenue growth for a company this size is insane.
I’m surprised at the selling after solid earnings.
It says something about the state of the market…
I’m at the point where no market crash or correction phases me.
It wasn’t like this when I started buying stocks 7 years ago at 19.
I feared downturns & panicked.
I now see dips/corrections as buying opportunities.
I’m staying the course & keeping the long term time horizon 📈💸

Stocks can have infinite gains (see charts below), but the most you can lose on a stock is your initial investment
Understanding this concept as an investor is extremely powerful
$TSLA $NVDA
Way too many stock & finance “gurus” advise investors to never buy individual stocks and only invest in ETFs/index funds
I think that’s hogwash
The process of learning about and investing in individual stocks got me interested in the market at a young age & is something I still love to do
I encourage every investor to own about 5-20 individual stocks and allocate a set % of their portfolio to them

There are WAY too many old people who would rather die with $2+ million in the bank than help their family with a down payment or other major life expenses while still alive
I’ll never understand it
