For a priming series, I’d usually recommend 2 doses 2 months apart, and then a booster 6 months later, and then returning/moving to a once annual schedule.
The exact timing there is definitely not super important, but it does entail a few shots to build up the best protection, and the first two are typically spaced a bit closer together than the 4 months you had between September -> January. So, given that, I would personally consider a spring dose and consider that the end of the priming series. Then, you can go back to once annually.
Again, exact timing isn’t critical with Novavax, but just personally, I’d probably do: May 2026, then obviously not necessarily be in a rush to get one in the fall, maybe January/February, then maybe early December the following year, and at that point you’re essentially at a normal once annual schedule.
And also, again, this is obviously all about achieving a higher level of protection. Your dose from January will not totally wane before next fall, and you’re probably even still going to see really good protection against severe disease. But would it be the maximum protection you can get against all infection? Probably not really the case

Novavax reminder: You should probably be making plans to get your spring Nuvaxovid booster within the next week, if you’re planning on getting one.
Sanofi has confirmed this batch, expiring May 31st, will be the last availability until the release of the 2026/2027 formulation in the fall.
At the very least, confirm with a pharmacy that they’re planning on remaining stocked until the May 31st expiry. It’s common practice, unfortunately, for pharmacies to return inventory a few weeks before it actually expires, especially in the spring when there’s little uptake. This includes @cvspharmacy, which is responsible for the bulk of Nuvaxovid inventory right now.

In addition to various independent pharmacies, many CVS locations are choosing to restock again, which has also been the case for the last couple of months. If you’re trying to locate a dose, all of the advice below from early January still applies⬇️ If you’re upset that your preferred pharmacy isn’t continuing to stock Nuvaxovid…now is the time to let them know (both at the local store and by calling corporate offices), because this time of year is when the bulk of contracting will be happening between @SanofiUS and pharmacies for the upcoming 2026-2027 respiratory season.
