@lomaxx Just cap wealth at 100 mil for a person and 1 billion for a company and increase thresholds the same way you do for working people in line with inflation. People aren't angry at people building wealth, they're angry at billionaires using loans to avoid tax.

This is where the “tax the rich” crowd lose me. Say I earn 90k a year and in 2027 I inherit $200,000 I invest that $200k and after 10 years in the stock market it’s now worth $400k If I sell it and realise the $200k capital gain, what the govt and the “tax the rich” crowd are saying is that I should be taxed as if I make $290k every year. Now if I try and split that CGT income across 2 people I’m “greedy” and avoiding tax But if I sell down in 4x $100k lots over 4 years and minimise my tax, that’s ok and nobody bats an eyelid - but it’s the same principle.

@Mechace007 @ReflectiveRuby2 Agree but there cannot be a false positive in this situation, op is just repeating/floating bs, simply don't cheat, don't be a loser, behave on the internet. It's that simple. People use vidya games to relax, socialise & have fun, not to have their time ruined by spoilt shits

@ReflectiveRuby2 @DivineDrow The ratio for vanguard with false positives is really low in the grand scheme of things. People also worried about a lot of many things involving vanguard even way back then, but ultimately nothing happened.

Riot Games updated their anti-cheat so now ontop of being spyware, it now also includes malware that gives them the power to remotely brick your computer until you do a full OS reinstall, and Valorant fans are like, "Erm, just don't cheat then? W Riot" These people are demented.

@thatguy1692 @ReflectiveRuby2 Whoever floats bullshit like this is either: A, a sad loser because they wasted a couple grand on a cheating set up that is now useless B, sells the cheating set up to losers C, incapable of doing their research before opening their mouth

@thatguy1692 @ReflectiveRuby2 No, categorically no. What vanguard and the iommu is looking for is non factory signed code thats saying to your CPU "hey man I'm definitely an SSD/HDD". If it's a legit ssd/hdd then the factory signed ID code will be retrieved and verified.

@ReflectiveRuby2 No system config is being read. The Chip in the hardware is, this is where you're possibly confused.

@ReflectiveRuby2 That is categorically false and not at all how PC parts work haha. Power outtages cannot change a physical hardware ID signature. Upgrading doesn't change the ID signature either, if you upgrade then a new LEGITIMATE ID would be read.

@ReflectiveRuby2 And by brick it literally justs makes a bunch of empty locked space in the DMA card so you need to reformat it. That's literally it.

@ReflectiveRuby2 Yeah the spoofed firmware. DMA card will be like "ooh dw bro I'm a samsung evo 990 ssd nothing fishy here" and vanguard will be like damn bro you're not doing ssd things ere, lemme check your hardware ID, oh shit no hardware ID, Jarvis, brick this DMA card.

@MisterVerienn @ReflectiveRuby2 How can you have false flags of spoofed firmware on a ssd/hdd hardware please can you explain that to me? It's either spoofed or it isn't.

@CuteAndFunnyAlt What, do you think Asus, Acer, and all the other motherboard companies were like yeah let's brick everyone's PCs just cause we can? You're crying over 2nd PCs with an OS running cheats getting bricked like what?

We live in a world where websites, payment services and even banks ban anyone without a reason or a chance to appeal it And suddenly, people are defending the destruction of paying customers' hardware, just because they cheated in a game

@CuteAndFunnyAlt Yes because cheating in a video game hurts the company's revenue and the consumer? If you're stupid enough to set up a 2nd Cheating PC then you deserve to have the OS on that 2nd PC bricked? Like what are we even talking about here?

@demisagoatbaaaa @bahlivern They're bricking 2nd PCs where an OS is found on a spoofed firmware ssd/hdd. You need an OS to run cheats on a 2nd PC. To put it simply. Lots of cheaters just tried to cause an outrage because people don't look into shit anymore apparently.

@bahlivern Only bricks it if the spoofed firmware ssd/hdd drive they use is where the OS is located. (Which is intentional, because 2nd PCs are where the cheats are being ran)

@CraigSpillard With landlords at the current state they operate, landlords should own higher quality properties not basic homes that people in this country need. There needs to be a shift from essential home landlord ownership to commercial/convenience landlord ownership so all sides are happy.

@CraigSpillard Government, they are making buy to let less attractive, pulling up the ladder for those that want to start building real estate. However, if the government built more affordable homes this wouldn't be an issue and landlords could rent out luxurious properties. I don't agree 1/2

Landlord charges £12,000 rent a year and is charged £6,000 per year on the mortgage interest. Of that £6,000 profit the government gets £4,536 the landlord gets £1,464 Of that £1,464 landlord has to cover repair costs, etc Is it the landlord or the government inflating rents?

@samhfinance I actually sent my MP a letter about this, if you means test the current state pension against private pensions you could literally fund free university, lift tax threshold for those aged 18-67 and set up £5k pension pots for all children and pay back state pension recipients 1/2
