Overline Network Scam/Fraud/Deceptive Practices: Another example of absolute dishonesty and deceit by Patrick McConlogue, Craig Weisman, Leila El Hayani and the rest of the Overline Network / Block Collider crew. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) plays a crucial role in protecting consumers from deceptive practices and false advertising, especially regarding physical products (such as the promised oRouter). When consumers purchase items based on misleading claims or advertisements, and those products are not delivered as promised, the FTC steps in to enforce consumer protection laws. The agency ensures that businesses adhere to fair advertising standards and penalizes those that engage in fraudulent activities. By monitoring and addressing these deceptive practices, the FTC helps maintain a fair marketplace, ensuring that consumers receive the products they were promised and safeguarding against financial losses and mistrust. The supposed oRouter and oRouter refund: Guess what I found out today - in the original online form attached in their refund email on June 25th, the Overline team explicitly stated that the refund would be provided within 5 days of the form being submitted. Now, after the first 5 days the form went live, (and people reporting that they have not received any refund) it has been CHANGED without notice - if I go into the form today, July 10th 2024, it says that "your request will be completed before 08/31/2024" - over 50 days. It appears they have no intention of refunding people. It is plain to see that they simply wanted this checkbox checked at the bottom of the form to 'conclude all business and claims related to the listed device(s)" - this is to try and make sure that they don't have to refund people for the amounts they extracted from the community for other worthless digital items that they sold in relation to the orouter - ofriends, ocash, swamp boats, flamingos, treasure chest keys, wonderland ordinals, etc. It looks like they wiped out information relating to these digital items from their main social account on X (which they blocked me on) - the pattern appears to be deleting anything to do with things that were paid for in crypto and anything relating to Block Collider / EMB. I wonder if they are trying to hide their crypto gains/profits from taxation that they scammed from everyone? Regardless, regarding the oRouter and the refund email: This is FRAUD, deceptive practices and false advertising, plain and simple, and the team is counting on us all remaining silent or missing these details - or else on not going back into the form to check after hearing that people are not receiving their refunds - they already succeeded in confusing some people about the refund receipt date. The entire metaverse project, per Patrick and Craig's own words on X spaces were to be "layers built upon the orouter". It appears that they had no intention of ever shipping the orouter as they abandoned company filings, trademarks and even entire websites prior to their last sale for the oRouters, then ghosted the community when the stated shipping date rolled around, followed by 'discontinuing it for lack of demand' despite stating that they had only a "few thousand spots" left for batch 2 orouter presales, prior to the batch 3 sale (Doesn't this mean that they sold several thousands, at least?) This is exactly why I didn't sign that or submit the form and decided to wait and see what happened to others after 5 days. This is fraud, please report to both the FTC and FBI. Screenshots attached- thank goodness I took a screenshot of the original form. I've submitted my complaints to the @FTC @FBI do your part as well ReportFraud.ftc.gov ic3.gov False Advertising: Promising a refund for a physical product that was sold, and such refund being promised to be received within 5 days and then changing the terms without notifying customers can be seen as false advertising. This is because the company made a specific promise that induced people to act (in this case, to submit the form), and then did not fulfill that promise. Same for the oRouters - promising to ship this physical product by January 2024, and not doing so. Deceptive Business Practices: This includes any business practice that is likely to mislead or deceive consumers. Relevant Laws Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act: The FTC Act prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce. The FTC enforces this law and can take action against companies that engage in deceptive advertising. State Consumer Protection Laws: Most states have their own consumer protection laws that prohibit deceptive business practices. These laws vary by state but generally provide for enforcement by state attorneys general and sometimes private lawsuits by consumers. Breach of Contract: If the refund policy was part of a contractual agreement, changing the terms after consumers have agreed to them could be considered a breach of contract. Steps to Take Report to the FTC: You can file a complaint with the FTC online at FTC Complaint Assistant. Report to the FBI: You can report it to the FBI. This can be done online at FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). If you live outside of the USA, you CAN still report to the above: Anyone can report cyber crimes to IC3 if they are in the USA, or EVEN if they are foreign/live elsewhere but the project that scammed them is based in the USA, or has founders/business conducted by key people from within the USA. If the company operates internationally or has a significant presence or a business nexus in the U.S., U.S. authorities may still take action regarding foreigners who were scammed. If you are in a foreign jurisdiction, you can additionally find your similar regulating agency there for reporting cyber crimes Europe, so that there will be a report on file regarding these con artists: @Europol europol.europa.eu/report-a-crime…… USA: IC3.gov Canada: cyber.gc.ca/en/incident-ma…… Asia/Africa: @INTERPOL_HQ interpol.int/en/Crimes/Cybe…… services.india.gov.in/service/detail…… nccc.npf.gov.ng @hubtoshi @D1202Fr3 @christa_platts @TagTappers @jeremyrigby @theCryptoBurner @CasperDisciple @PonziScalpr
