We’re honored to be named the #1 children’s hospital in the nation according to @usnews! This is another amazing first for Cincinnati Children’s and our region and we couldn’t have gotten here without you. #WeAreCincyKids

Where is the root cause analysis of every single physician suicide to inform system changes? This is not an individual problem. Other disciplines are able to train their colleagues without anyone dying. #MedEd

The death of another physician in training by suicide is unacceptable. What are you doing TODAY to improve our training system to end medical student/resident/fellow suicide? It should be a NEVER event. #MedTwitter #neoTwitter

A growth mindset- learners, practicing health professionals, leaders, all will benefit from adopting it. Those believing that intelligence, capability can be cultivated, improved (they are not fixed) learn & perform better. You can change your mindset. jamanetwork.com/journals/jamao…

1. Surprising findings from a multi-center cohort study recently published in @Ped_Research show that early nitric oxide (iNO) use did not benefit any subgroup of infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH): nature.com/articles/s4139…

Heartwarming ❤️ To quote “Over time, however, my awareness of life’s uncertainty has turned my focus to things I can control: to engaging more in the joyous parts of life, to focusing on the people I love, to living better and kinder, to gratitude, to hope..”
Dr. Nina Niu Sanford@NiuSanford

In this week's @JAMA_current, my husband @EthanLSanford writes about the deaths of our daughter Ceci and his patient Terry. About how grief has informed his practicing of medicine and living a fuller life. Please read about our girl and share. jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/…

After six years of planning & prep, our most critically ill patients are being treated right now in our new Critical Care Building (Location G). Thanks to staff, volunteers & families who made our move a success as we transported 142 patients to their new state-of-the-art rooms.
